Sr. Project Manager – W/WW Transmission and Utilities.

SENIOR LEVEL
Freese and Nichols is seeking Sr. Project Manager – W/WW Transmission and Utilities in Jacksonville, Florida. You’ll step into a seller-doer role built to grow our Jacksonville presence—bringing established local credibility and relationships to expand opportunities in a relationship-driven market while also leading and delivering high-quality W/WW Transmission and Utilities projects with our teams. What You’ll Do Build and grow Freese and Nichols’ Jacksonville-area W/WW Transmission and Utilities presence by strengthening local client relationships, leading pursuits, and converting opportunities into deliverable work. Serve as senior project manager on W/WW Transmission and Utilities projects, leading scope, schedule, budget, and delivery from start to finish. Partner with municipal clients as a trusted advisor by listening first, aligning solutions to their needs, and staying closely connected throughout delivery. Lead multi-disciplinary project teams by setting clear expectations, delegating effectively, and coaching engineers, designers, and technicians to deliver strong results. Oversee quality by guiding technical approaches, reviewing key deliverables, and ensuring work meets firm standards and client expectations. Direct complex studies, evaluations, and design efforts; synthesize findings into clear recommendations and reports. Stay current on applicable regulations, emerging technology, and delivery best practices, then connect those insights to client needs and team execution. Coordinate with leaders across practices to bring the right expertise to Jacksonville opportunities and grow long-term client accounts. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil or related). Professional Engineer (PE) license; Florida PE or ability to obtain Florida licensure. 8+ years of progressive engineering experience, including independent technical decision-making and complex project leadership. Experience leading W/WW Transmission and Utilities projects for municipal or public-sector clients. Demonstrated ability to develop and grow client relationships in the Jacksonville/Northeast Florida market (seller-doer mindset). Preferred Established involvement in industry and community organizations (for example, AWWA, FWEA, ASCE). Experience supporting both W/WW Transmission and Utilities and W/WW treatment pursuits/delivery in the Florida market. Track record of winning and delivering work through on-call programs and/or repeat municipal clients. Experience building a new office presence or expanding a geographic market with a strong delivery backbone. Experience mentoring project managers and developing team capability across a portfolio of work.
