We are looking for a highly driven individual that will have an aptitude for using measuring devices, attention to detail and the ability to communicate inspection results. A thorough understanding of inspection techniques, and the materials, gauges, tools and equipment of the trade. Additionally, you will… Inspects galvanized product to insure conformance to company and customer standards. Tests coating thickness of product with properly calibrated thickness gauge and records on form. Inspects galvanized or coated products using fixed and variable measuring instruments Inspects for irregularities in coatings; non-coated areas, icicles, drips, zinc build up, ash or other foreign matter on the freshly galvanized or coated products. Compares product count with productions schedule to insure finished product matches customer count. Responsible for rejecting product that does not meet customer and company standards Able to work independently Excellent communication skills Occasional travel offsite to customer Maintains a clean and hazard-free workplace; protects self and others from accident and injury.
