Why This Role Matters Sample Preparation Technicians are an essential part of the laboratory testing workflow. Your work ensures that client samples are prepared accurately and efficiently so they can be analyzed and transformed into reliable results. These results drive critical decisions across the mining, environmental, industrial and related sectors. What you’ll do Sample Processing: Ringing, sieving (including International Soils), crushing and splitting samples under supervision Load and unload drying oven Laboratory Operations & Maintenance Maintain accurate production logs and following established procedures to ensure quality cand consistency Perform general leaning duties to support lab cleanliness and assist with layout tasks as needed Safety & Compliance Always Complying with ALS safety standards and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements Other duties as assigned What you bring Core Qualifications Strong hand eye coordination and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic alphanumeric comprehension Basic English communication skills (written and verbal) Good Organizational habits and strong reliability Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50lbs Manual dexterity for repetitive tasks Ability to stand for a full shift Ability to be clean shaven to ensure proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) fit Ability to wear PPE such as dust masks and gloves Occasional desk-based tasks Our benefits include: An estimated hourly pay of $22.77 CAD at the time of posting. Individual compensation is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training.
