Job Overview: Job Summary Primoris Heavy Civil is seeking a skilled laborer for our Lockport, LA operations. This role involves performing a variety of physical tasks to support heavy civil construction projects, ensuring safety and efficiency on the job site. Job Responsibilities** * Assist in the preparation and cleanup of construction sites, including clearing debris, loading and unloading materials, and maintaining tools and equipment. * Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively, such as shovels, rakes, picks, jackhammers, saws, and compactors. * Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact earth to grade specifications. * Assist in the assembly and disassembly of temporary structures, scaffolding, and shoring. * Perform basic carpentry, concrete work, and masonry tasks as directed. * Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures. * Work collaboratively with other team members, supervisors, and subcontractors. * Perform flagging duties to control traffic flow around construction zones. * Assist with the installation of pipes, utilities, and other infrastructure components. * Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to a supervisor immediately. Job Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent preferred. * Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in heavy civil construction or a related field. * Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) regularly and perform strenuous physical tasks for extended periods. * Proficiency in operating various hand and power tools common to construction. * Knowledge of basic construction safety practices and procedures. * Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. * Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality. * Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. * Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. * OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
