MO-Springfield-Golf, United States of America

Loan Officer - Springfield, MO.

$70K–80K/YR
Competitive. Driven. Coachable If you're energized by competition, motivated by meaningful goals, and excited by coaching that helps you reach your full potential, keep reading. This is a highly competitive role designed for individuals who thrive in performance driven environments. While a specific degree or mortgage background isn't required, we're looking for self-motivated people with experience managing a sales pipeline, building relationships, and delivering results. If you're someone who embraces feedback, pushes yourself to improve, and is motivated by the opportunity to earn more through your performance, you'll fit right in. This base plus commission role rewards performance with uncapped earning potential. Most Loan Officers earn $70,000 to $80,000 in their first year. By year three, top performers earn around $145,000, with earning potential exceeding $300,000 by year five. As a proud sister brand of Veterans United Home Loans, First Residential combines the agility of an independent mortgage company with the support, expertise, and stability of one of the nation's most recognized mortgage lenders. About the Role: Being a Loan Officer at First Residential is unlike any other role. Think of it as combining the best of sales, customer service, and financial expertise. You'll play a crucial role in helping borrowers navigate one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives: buying a home. This isn't just a desk job. It's a high energy, high impact position where your determination and hustle directly influence your success. Our marketing team works hard to bring in fresh leads, so most of the people you call have already expressed interest. Your job is to build trust, understand their financial goals, and guide them to the loan solution that's right for them. The schedule offers flexibility, but success comes from consistently putting in the effort to meet and exceed your goals. Most of the work happens in the office, where collaboration, coaching, and healthy competition create an environment that helps everyone succeed. It's challenging work, but helping someone achieve homeownership makes it incredibly rewarding. Here’s a snapshot of what you’d be doing: Connect with qualified leads, build trust, and show borrowers why First Residential is the right lending partner. Review financial information and guide borrowers to the loan solution that best fits their needs. Manage loan applications and documentation, keeping each file moving efficiently from application through closing. Walk borrowers through every step of the mortgage process while structuring loan options, rates, and fees that best meet their goals. Contribute to a collaborative team environment by supporting teammates and sharing in each other's success. You'll spend much of your day communicating with borrowers by phone, email, and other communication tools. Business calls may be recorded and reviewed using AI-assisted technology to support coaching, quality assurance, compliance, training, and performance evaluation. These technologies may collect, store, and use voiceprints as part of that process. About You: You demonstrate grit and resilience when navigating challenges and thrive in a fast paced, goal-oriented environment. You're a salesperson at your core. You're confident picking up the phone, building relationships, and turning opportunities into results. You adapt quickly to change and enjoy solving problems in creative and practical ways. You're highly organized and know how to manage your time and prioritize competing demands. You're motivated by results, welcome coaching, and have a strong desire to continuously learn and improve. You communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and provide exceptional service to borrowers and teammates. You thrive in collaborative environments and maintain a positive attitude under pressure. You lead with honesty, transparency, and integrity, always doing what's right for borrowers, teammates, and the business. You'll need to become NMLS licensed, and we'll help you obtain your license when you join the team. About Us: We started First Residential Independent Mortgage to make homebuying more authentic. Your heart and dedication will help us get there. First Residential Independent Mortgage is proud to be a sister brand of Veterans United Home Loans. We specialize in conventional and FHA loans while sharing the same commitment to exceptional service, innovation, and helping people achieve homeownership. Build a rewarding career with the support of an industry leader while helping shape the future of a growing brand. Our success is measured by how we live our values every day: Be Passionate and Have Fun, Deliver Results with Integrity, and Enhance Lives Every Day. We strive to provide exceptional service to homebuyers and their families while making a positive impact on the people and communities we serve. We're glad you're here exploring this opportunity. If this role excites you but you don't meet every qualification, we'd still love to hear from you. We hire for potential, drive, and a willingness to learn, not just what's on a resume. If you're passionate, motivated, and ready to build a meaningful career, we encourage you to apply. Interested? Apply Today!
