We're looking for a Lead Tax Accountant with 3-5 years of experience, preferably in a Big 4 public accounting firm, to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work across both income and non-income taxes, partner directly with tax leadership, interact with taxing authorities, and help drive innovation through AI and technology-enabled solutions. What You'll Do Support federal, state, local, and international tax audits and examinations. Prepare, organize, and respond to documentation requests from taxing authorities during audits and examinations. Analyze tax returns, audit workpapers, and supporting documentation to identify issues, assess risks, and assist the tax management team in developing recommendations and audit response strategies. Manage tax notices, information requests, and audit correspondence through resolution. Review and prepare income and non-income tax compliance workpapers and filings prepared by internal teams and external advisors. Support compliance activities related to federal and state income taxes, premium tax, sales and use tax, federal excise tax, gross receipts tax, property tax, and other indirect taxes. Research technical tax issues and assist with tax controversy and regulatory matters. Leverage AI, automation tools, and data analytics to improve compliance processes, audit support, and operational efficiency. Participate in special projects and strategic tax initiatives as needed. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field. 3-5 years of tax experience in public accounting or a corporate tax department. Experience with federal and state income tax compliance. Experience with non-income taxes, including sales and use tax, premium tax, excise tax, gross receipts tax, property tax, or similar indirect taxes. Experience supporting tax audits, examinations, notices, and tax controversy matters. Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and project management abilities. CPA or CPA candidate preferred. Big 4 experience strongly preferred. Individual offers are determined based on geographic location, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and other job-related factors.
