Preparing supporting schedules, working papers, and financial statement disclosures using Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools
Preparing financial statements for a portfolio of investment funds and investment vehicles in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Assisting in ensuring financial statements are prepared accurately, completely, and in accordance with internal quality standards and client deadlines
Presenting completed financial statements to senior team members for review and incorporate feedback in a timely manner
Supporting the planning of financial reporting engagements while managing multiple client deadlines
Liaising with investment managers, fund administrators, auditors, and other external service providers to obtain information and resolve financial reporting queries
Researching accounting issues and complex transactions to determine the appropriate accounting treatment under relevant GAAP and IFRS standards
Contributing to continuous process improvements and assist with ad hoc projects as required
What you will need
Related Honours degree
Excellent communication skills
Ability to plan, prioritise between tasks and adhere to strict time deadlines
Ability to work on own initiative
Some industry experience in an accounting role would be an advantage
Academic knowledge of IFRS and GAAP would be an advantage
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
