About the Role

As our People Operations Specialist you’ll shape the day-to-day experience of our Amsterdam team, creating a workplace where people can do their best work. You’ll work closely with our Operations Manager to keep the office running seamlessly while supporting team operations, organisation, and culture. You'll also collaborate closely with our team based in Utah, SLC.
What you’ll do
Day to day Employee Lifecycle: onboarding, offboarding, contracts, benefits, visas, leaves and data changes. Headcount & employee data.
Payroll & Company arrangements: payroll administration through the 3rd party (holidays, reimbursements), 30% of tax ruling application, company doctor (sick leave), pension, lunch, office, commute & benefits arrangements. Track monthly invoices, chat with the tax & immigration offices to resolve outstanding questions.
Immigration & Relocation's: hightly skilled migrant visa, relocation process support & guidance. Also, coordinate travel and trip logistics for the team traveling to other countries or visiting our office.
Culture & Team Experience: Plan and execute team events, celebrations, volunteering days, and off-sites. Support internal engagement initiatives. Help foster a positive workplace culture where people feel seen, heard and taken into consideration.
Documentation & Processes: Maintain and update internal PeopleOps documentation & processes.
Office & Workplace Management: Manage office supplies, snacks, lego sets and equipment. Handle incoming/outgoing mail and packages. Ensure a smooth and well-organized office environment.

You must have
Proven experience: 2 years experience in HR, PeopleOps, or Admin roles.
Exceptional communication skills: Ability to talk to any person, and connect with people across, work fields, culture and languages. Clear communication is also important. Ideally you have an "I've got you" approach working with people.
Organized and strategic: Skilled in planning, managing people and experienced working in Office Package, Excel (Numbers), Box, MacOS. Comfortable handling confidential information.
Collaborative mindset: Enjoy working across teams, contributing to different initiatives that come up, and always willing to pitch in where needed. Proactive mindset, problem-solving attitude. You have the ability to own processes, people and lead the direction.
Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment, eager to learn, iterate, and innovate.
Problem solving: You own this role, processes, people culture and lead the direction. When issues arise, be the empowered force that solves them, rolling-up.
You should have
A Positive outlook and genuine care for people: A strong positive spirit and sunny disposition that you try to bring every day. A care for the people around you, this role is about supporting others and caring about their work.
Interest in people; interest in people, psychology and human behaviour is a big plus.
An eye for details: Sometimes the smallest details matter the most. It could be collecting a small seemingly unimportant package, or remembering someones birthday. This can make the whole difference for our Amsterdam Team, or at least someones day!
It’s helpful to have
Dutch Language skills: Helpful but not necessary! We work mostly in English but of course with our Dutch location, it would be helpful.
Previous experience in recruiting: Ability to help with recruiting for our growing company, if needed.
