REINSURANCE ACCOUNTANT – BERMUDA – US$110-140,000 – ONLY 10% TAX – HR302
About this opportunity
Our client is a reinsurer based in Hamilton, Bermuda.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Production of quarterly and annual financial statements, and analysis of financial results
- Working alongside management, you will drive continual review and improvement of finance processes, internal controls and wider controls
- Co-ordinate the annual audit in cooperation with external auditors
- Preparation and filing of statutory financial returns to the Bermuda Monetary Authority
- Ensure all your clients' agreements and Re/Insurance policies are in place
- Monitor collateral requirements and administer letters of credit
What you'll need
- A professional accountancy designation (ACA, CA, CPA or ACCA) with 2-5 years' post-qualification experience
- Experience preparing financial statements and collaborating with clients and external auditors
- External audit experience working on clients in the offshore Re/Insurance sector a definite asset
- A first-rate professional work ethic with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are highly valued
- You may need to work overtime on occasion
Preference will be given to applicants already based in Bermuda with re/insurance experience (either in auditing and/or financial accounting).
