Our client is a US-based company specializing in advanced solutions for health plans. Their platform helps both new and established Medicare and Medicaid programs scale efficiently, saving time and resources by improving staff productivity and streamlining processes.
The company offers flexible options, available as either SaaS (Software as a Service) or BPaaS (Business Process as a Service), making it easier for health plans to optimize operations, enhance member experiences, and stay compliant with industry regulations.
We are currently seeking skilled QA Engineers to join the project. You will collaborate with other engineers to develop innovative technical solutions, ensure software quality, and solve problems efficiently using industry best practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute software test plans and document test results.
- Perform functional, system, regression, and release testing.
- Conduct API/interface and EDI testing.
- Design, execute, and maintain test cases.
- Validate data using SQL queries and investigate data discrepancies.
- Identify, document, track, and manage defects, collaborating with functional and technical teams to facilitate issue resolution.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of user documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure product quality and reliability.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer or Quality Assurance Analyst in the healthcare, Medicare, or health insurance/payer industry.
- Hands-on experience with functional and regression testing.
- Knowledge of system testing and release testing processes.
- Experience with API/interface testing and EDI testing.
- Experience designing and executing test cases and managing defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Relational database knowledge and practical experience writing SQL queries for data validation.
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with developers, technical teams, and clients.
- Conversational proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent practical experience.
Would Be a Plus
- Experience working with healthcare payer processes, particularly claims, enrollment, provider management, authorizations, or encounters.
- Knowledge of UNIX.
- Ability to understand programming languages and technical concepts.
- Additional experience with healthcare data exchange standards and EDI integrations.
