Assistant Manager – Car Wash

Compensation: $16 - $18 plus commission/bonuses, OTE $21+ per hour

About the Role:
At WashU, an Assistant Manager plays a key role in overseeing daily operations and supporting team performance during their assigned shift. This position is responsible for ensuring efficient operations, maintaining high-quality service standards, and delivering exceptional customer experience. Shift leads help guide team members, uphold company processes, and contribute to a positive, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support daily operations during assigned shifts, ensuring efficiency and quality standards
- Supervise, assign tasks, and provide coaching to team members
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing questions, concerns, and resolving issues
- Promote and upsell memberships and premium services
- Monitor equipment and wash processes; report or address issues as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility
- · Perform basic operational tracking (sales, cars serviced, incidents) and support inventory needs
Key Requirements:
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while maintaining high service standards
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to resolve issues professionally and efficiently
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage operations and transactions accurately
- Reliable and punctual with flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Physically able to operate car wash equipment and perform general cleaning and maintenance tasks
No prior car wash experience is required—we provide on-site training to help you succeed.
