Principal, OEM Sales & Marketing Strategy (Automotive).

REMOTESTAFF LEVELSALES & MARKETING
Where automotive analysis meets influence. Turn registration and loyalty signals into stories and measurable impact for OEM sales and marketing leaders. The Company At Mobility Global, we turn automotive data into intelligence that helps organizations make better decisions across the mobility ecosystem. Our insights illuminate market dynamics, customer behavior, and emerging demand—enabling clients to plan confidently and stay ahead in a rapidly evolving automotive landscape. You’ll join a collaborative team solving complex data and technology problems and delivering solutions that customers trust. With a legacy dating back to the 1920s when R. L. Polk published the first vehicle registration reports, our solutions are used by nearly every OEM, 95%+ of tier one suppliers, media agencies, governments, insurance companies, and financial stakeholders to provide actionable insights that enable better decisions and better results. Our 800+ global experts partner with automakers, suppliers, and dealers to decode market trends, mitigate risk, and harness the power of advanced analytics to navigate the disruptive impact of new technologies. Location: Detroit (Metro), MI or Northern VA The Team The Sales and Marketing Consulting team is a strategic partner to Mobility Global’s OEM clients, helping them translate intelligence into commercial action. We track sales performance, incentive effectiveness, market share movement, regional dynamics, pricing actions, competitive performance and market trends, then deliver recommendations that shape go-to-market strategy, customer targeting, and marketing effectiveness. The work blends analytics, industry expertise, and storytelling with data. We value curiosity, ownership, and rigor to produce insights that stand up to scrutiny and drive measurable outcomes. The role As a Client Principal, you are a client-facing trusted advisor to OEM stakeholders, helping them achieve sales and marketing success. You build relationships and anticipate market shifts and their impact on the business. You assess a client’s strengths, gaps, and competitive position, translating complex automotive data into clear recommendations that drive sales growth—especially through improved loyalty and conquest. This role blends strategic, big-picture thinking with hands-on analytical leadership and data storytelling. What You’ll Do Serve as the primary strategic partner for assigned OEM clients—building credibility, trust, and long-term relationships with senior stakeholders. Provide insights and recommendations that improve sales performance through loyalty and conquest strategies (e.g., retention, win-back, competitive conversion opportunities) as well as incentive planning and pricing actions. Ensure client training, usage and engagement at targeted levels, increasing with measurable value. Convey Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback to account team(s) and Product Management as appropriate. Lead proactive, in-depth analyses that connect the dots across multiple datasets to identify drivers, risks, and opportunities—often before the client asks. Prepare and deliver high-impact loyalty and performance presentations, tailoring the narrative to brand teams and driving alignment on actions to improve. Apply strong commercial instincts to translate data into “what to do next,” not just “what happened.” Monitor competitive performance and market dynamics, bringing forward anticipatory points of view and recommending strategic responses. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal partners to ensure analytical rigor, consistency of outputs, and continuous improvement in how we serve clients. Identify opportunities to expand value with clients by introducing new analyses, innovative approaches, and Mobility Global capabilities that address evolving needs. Understand how OEMs evaluate pricing actions, incentive planning, dealer performance, regional trends, market share shifts, and sales effectiveness. What Success Looks Like OEM leaders rely on you as a Mobility Global SME who brings perspective, clarity, and actionable recommendations. Your work drives measurable improvements in loyalty, conquest, and overall sales performance. You anticipate client needs and market shifts—consistently bringing forward insights and solutions proactively. You deliver presentations that are clear, confident, and anchored in defensible analysis. You strengthen relationships, increase adoption of Mobility Global insights, and elevate the strategic partnership. What We’re Looking For 7+ years of automotive industry experience, with a strong understanding of OEM commercial priorities, sales and marketing levers, pricing analytics and competitive dynamics. Demonstrated ability to operate as a trusted advisor—excellent customer relationship management skills and comfort engaging with client stakeholders. Strategic/big-picture thinker who can also execute—turning ambiguity into clear priorities, structured analyses, and actionable recommendations. Proactive, anticipatory mindset with strong instincts for identifying issues and opportunities early. Exceptional presentation ability and executive storytelling—able to translate complex findings into clear, persuasive messages. Collaborative approach and high ownership: works effectively across teams, follows through, and raises the bar on quality. Innovation-oriented: energized by new approaches, better ways to solve problems, and evolving how insights are delivered and adopted. Mobility Global SME (or the capability and drive to quickly become one), with a commitment to mastering our data, tools, and methodologies. Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Business Administration, Math, Economics, or Marketing. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CoPilot. Why Mobility Global You’ll work at the intersection of automotive, data, and strategy—partnering directly with OEM leaders to solve high-impact commercial challenges, influence decision-making, and help shape the future of mobility. Working Conditions Mix of remote, office, and working on client site, based on specific client and current business environment or regulations/recommendations.
