FULL TIMESENIOR LEVELFINANCE & LEGAL

ATTENTION! This is a talent pool posting. We’re always excited to connect with great people in this area. While we may not have an immediate opening, we’ll reach out as soon as a relevant opportunity becomes available.

About Scorewarrior

We're a game developer and publisher from Cyprus with one single game in the 4x strategy genre: Total Battle. We're a one-game company on purpose, because in everything we do, we focus.

We are currently concentrating on two major goals:

  • To make our game #1 in its genre.

  • To make our company the best place to work on games.

And we're far from there, we still have a lot of work to do.

That's why we need you.

We are seeking a Senior Legal Consultant to provide expert legal advice and guidance across a wide range of legal matters. The role includes leading projects within the company’s Legal Divisions, ensuring compliance with global regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, DSA, OSA, consumer protection laws, and platform policies (e.g., Facebook, Google, Apple). The successful candidate will advise on international, multidivisional, and cross-departmental matters while delivering tailored strategies that support business needs and strengthen compliance.

What will you do?

  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements, including marketing, advertising, payment services, corporate, data protection, employment, rental, and game supplier agreements.

  • Advise on commercial, employment, intellectual property, data protection, gaming, and international regulatory matters.

  • Provide IP advice to all departments and support intellectual property protection by registering and maintaining IP rights, managing trademark rights, handling copyright enforcement and takedowns, addressing IP complaints and reports of illegal use, and collaborating with global IP firms and trademark agents.

  • Provide guidance on digital services regulations (DSA, OSA, DMA, and related frameworks), including drafting and reviewing internal procedures, compliance monitoring, and enforcement processes.

  • Provide guidance on global data protection regulations (GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws), including handling data subject requests, audits, cross-border transfers, and internal compliance frameworks.

  • Research and analyze legislation across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with gaming, digital services, and other relevant markets where the company operates, while staying updated on new legal developments.

  • Draft, review, and update website policies, internal procedures, and legal documentation to meet regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with other departments on legal and regulatory issues affecting products, user interactions, contract matters, player disputes, and policy violations.

  • Work independently and with team members on user-related issues, complaints, incidents, and moderation practices, including drafting and implementing efficient internal procedures.

  • Collaborate with authorities on investigations and regulatory matters.

  • Undertake additional legal tasks as needed, reporting to the Lead of Legal.

Required Qualifications (Must-Have)

  • Law Degree with at least 7 years of legal experience, including a minimum of 3 years as in-house counsel in a gaming or technology company, with strong proficiency in gaming industry regulations (DSA, OSA, consumer protection, and related frameworks).

  • Strong knowledge of commercial, employment, intellectual property, and data protection law.

  • Proven expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex agreements (e.g., marketing, advertising, payment services, supplier, and corporate contracts).

  • Experience ensuring compliance with platform policies (Facebook, Google, Apple), including advising on updates and supporting implementation across departments.

  • Experience advising on emerging legal issues in digital services, AI, and online platforms.

  • Understanding of international legal and regulatory requirements, including cross-border compliance and consumer protection laws.

  • Experience collaborating across multiple departments and stakeholders, with the ability to deliver practical, business-focused legal advice.

  • Experience in developing and implementing efficient legal and compliance procedures.

  • Familiarity with using platforms for task management and collaboration with other departments.

  • Excellent analytical and research skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret legislation for business applications.

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Greek, with the ability to simplify complex legal concepts for non-legal stakeholders.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and business judgment, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Well-organized and adaptable, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience cooperating with public authorities on legal matters, including responding to police requests, regulators, or other official bodies.

  • Experience engaging with EU institutions or industry associations on regulatory or policy initiatives in gaming or digital services.

What we offer and our benefits:

  • A team of professionals with a passion for gamedev and a drive to make Total Battle the #1 strategy MMO game.

  • An excellent remuneration package, including a 13th salary.

  • A modern, sunny office close to the sea.

  • Private health insurance for you and your family members.

  • A monthly pre-school, school, and university allowance for employees' children.

  • Lunch compensation.

  • A sports and fitness allowance.

  • Company-funded personal development opportunities (professional and language courses, books, etc.).

  • Bonuses for outstanding results, years of service, marriage, and childbirth.

  • Friendly monthly office parties and epic annual offsite company birthday and Christmas celebrations.
