These include all of the Stormont Vail LAN, WAN, WiFi and telephony systems. Develop Design Proposals, Recommendations and Justifications for new network and telephony components to enhance functionality and/or reliability. Maintain documentation, diagrams and inventory for hardware and software of network and telephony devices installed in the Stormont environment. Design and Implement ALL aspects of Network and Telephony Infrastructure using all applicable standards, within SV budgetary constraints, user/application performance requirements, applicable security parameters, network/application availability, manageability and scalability. Coordinate the design and implementation of projects to enhance the capabilities of the Stormont networking and telephony environment. Develops, maintains and tests SV Disaster Recovery Plans to insure continuity of operations in the event of a disaster and responsible for Performance, Forecasting and Capacity Planning for all aspects of the SV Network. Daily monitoring of the performance of network and telephony systems to insure they are reliable and performing efficiently. Using diagnostic tools, reports and interactions with fellow employees to identify chronic issues related to the hospital’s service and develops solutions to resolve these issues. Provides after-hours by participating in on-call rotation for 7 x 24 support. Works with other internal and external teams and individuals to provide new features/functionality to the hospital’s networking and telephony environment. Engages with carriers and other vendors to resolve issues and/or enhance system functionality. Creates/provides End User Training material for new services, features & functionality.
