About The Opportunity The Double Backer Operator is responsible for operating the control panel and monitoring the computer at the double backer section of the corrugator. The person in this position will make the proper splices and check the paper for bonding. They will also maintain clean plates and monitor the starch flow by making sure it does not overflow. Overnight Shift Sunday-Thursday 10PM-6AM Pay: Training: $29.22 Qualified $31.37 Job Description Essential Functions: Check paper for bonding Adjust adhesive rolls and check meter rolls Understand and make splices Repair or assist maintenance in the repair of machine as necessary Ensure quality is a work priority by being attentive to detail and accuracy and by actively seeking work process improvements— quality is the responsibility of all employees Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Safety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed Ability to effectively work in teams Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the job Ability to read a tape measure/ruler Good mathematical skills Two companies, one vision.
