Today, we are delivering seven carbon capture units in Europe, with an accumulated capture capacity of 1 million tonnes of CO2. In Denmark, we are delivering five Just Catch 100 units to Ørsted, in the Netherlands one Just Catch 100 unit to Twence, and in Norway a Big Catch to Heidelberg Materials.
What will you be doing?
As a leading specialist on carbon capture, you will be developing technology and new solutions for carbon capture and CO2-conditioning, and guide colleagues in implementation of the technology in studies, projects and product development.
Your Responsibilities
- Contribute to technology strategy, in collaboration with HoCT and CTO, that reflects the market needs and corporate strategy.
- Design, initiate and follow-up RD&I projects according to the corporate strategy and technology roadmap
- Contribute with expert advice and ensure that technical specifications and procedures associated with SLBC’s carbon capture technology have the necessary quality in projects and products
- Guide and train other technology specialist and engineers
- Interact with customers as part of business development and project execution
- Identify and assess patentable inventions related to ACC technology
Your qualifications
- MSc or PhD within Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- Leading expertise in carbon capture technologies and in particularly amine-based post combustion capture and/or expertise in gas treatment including CO2 compression, CO2 liquefaction and CO2 handling
- Experience as technical lead in RD&I projects
- Experience from implementing research, development & innovation results into industrial applications
- Experience with process design, process plant operation and troubleshooting are considered an advantage
- Fluent in written and spoken English
