Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift
Shift: 1st Shift, 6am-4:30pm
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support a food manufacturing facility by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment. This role is essential to keeping operations running safely and efficiently while meeting USDA/FDA food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs
- Install, assemble, and maintain machinery and electrical systems
- Read and interpret schematics and equipment manuals
- Weld or fabricate parts as needed
- Maintain accurate maintenance records in a computerized system
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
- Support production and perform other maintenance duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- Maintenance experience in a manufacturing or food production environment preferred
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment (35°F–45°F)
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. (with assistance) and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be dependable, safety-focused, and able to work with a sense of urgency
