Solna

Strategic Threat Intelligence Analyst to Group Security & Cyber Defence | SEB, Solna.

SECURITY

Are you ready for a new challenge where your analysis can strengthen security across a leading northern European financial services group? Join SEB Group Security & Cyber Defence and help us understand an evolving threat landscape, protect vital critical infrastructure and turn intelligence into meaningful action.

About the role

As a Strategic Threat Intelligence Analyst, you will combine cyber and physical threat intelligence to develop a comprehensive view of threats relevant to SEB. Your work will help decision-makers understand potential direct and second-order implications, anticipate emerging risks and determine appropriate security measures.

You will be part of Group Security & Cyber Defence (GS&CD), a global function covering the security capabilities required to protect SEB. Working with specialists and stakeholders across the organisation, you will contribute to an intelligence-led approach that connects strategic perspectives with operational needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitor security-related developments and assess their direct and second-order implications for SEB, from operational to strategic perspectives.

  • Conduct OSINT monitoring and investigations, ranging from rapid assessments to in-depth analysis.

  • Collect, evaluate and interpret information using appropriate analytical techniques to build a comprehensive understanding of relevant cyber and physical threats.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across SEB to identify and prioritise the security questions that threat intelligence should address.

  • Produce clear and concise intelligence products, including strategic analyses and investigative assessments, tailored to stakeholder needs.

  • Recommend, communicate and follow up on actions arising from intelligence findings through briefings, reports, workshops and other appropriate formats.

  • Continuously improve the internal intelligence cycle by strengthening partnerships, methods and tools, including automation and the responsible use of AI.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced and collaborative professional with a strong background in intelligence and security. You have an inquisitive and analytical mindset, sound judgement and the ability to translate complex findings into clear conclusions and practical recommendations. As a confident communicator and presenter, you engage effectively with colleagues at all levels and with external stakeholders.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Demonstrated experience applying OSINT methods and monitoring tools to identify, verify and assess information from multiple sources.

  • Demonstrated experience producing clear, accurate and actionable intelligence products, engaging with stakeholders and improving intelligence processes.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools.

  • Strong knowledge of international security, geopolitical developments and emerging threats, with the ability to assess their relevance and implications.

  • Strong investigative and analytical capabilities, including the ability to brief senior leaders and technical experts and translate complex findings into clear, decision-relevant assessments.

  • Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.

Preferred skills and qualifications:

  • Good understanding of cyber threats and threat actors, including their motivations, tactics and potential impact, with the ability to turn this knowledge into relevant and actionable intelligence.

  • Good understanding of the evolving digital and technology landscape, including how technology, the internet and AI influence and enable threats to organisations.

  • Experience using automation to improve the efficiency and quality of security-related tasks and processes.

What we offer

  • A friendly and welcoming culture

  • Attractive compensation and benefits

  • An innovative company in forefront of technology

  • Stimulating work with a broader purpose

  • Work-life balance
