Our trucking division is a specialty commercial auto insurer for fleets, and our go-to-market team is scaling fast across San Francisco, Boston, and Salt Lake City. We build our own software. Our CRM and telephony, policy administration and payments, producer onboarding, and analytics all run on systems we designed and built in-house, and that software is a real advantage in how we sell, underwrite, and serve customers. The Role You will be the trucking division’s first Sales Engineer, sitting at the intersection of our go-to-market teams and our software. The job has two halves. Inside, you build the tools our sales org runs on: extending our internally built CRM, creating the reporting and analytics that leadership uses to run the business, and building custom replacements for off-the-shelf sales tools. Outside, you are forward deployed. You work directly with customers and partners on integrations, help stand up embedded partnerships, and build the data pipelines that power lead generation. This is a builder's seat with a seller's context. You will sit with reps, hear a problem in the morning, and ship the fix by the end of the week. What You Will Do Build and ship features in our internal CRM and telephony stack: workflows, pipeline views, dialer improvements, and automations Build reporting and analytics for sales leadership: pipeline, funnel, activity, and performance dashboards the whole company trusts Replace off-the-shelf sales tools with custom builds, starting with conversation intelligence (call recording, transcription, and coaching insights) Forward deploy with customers and partners: scope, build, and troubleshoot the data integrations behind our embedded partnerships Build and maintain lead generation data pipelines from public and partner data sources Own CRM data quality and instrumentation so the numbers leadership sees are numbers they can trust What You Bring Highly technical background with projects completed that show an outstanding proficiency Ability to understand complex problems and break them down into solvable parts Ability to be customer-facing Obsessive over product Speed and ownership Curiosity Nice to Have Experience with telephony or CTI systems, CRM internals, or conversation intelligence tools Exposure to data engineering: pipelines, warehousing, or dashboarding tools Interest in insurance, trucking, or logistics Compensation and Benefits Competitive base salary plus performance bonus: $90,000-$110,000 Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) A ground-floor seat building the tooling for a fast-scaling sales organization, where advancement is earned and visible How to Apply Explain the most useful technical product you had the biggest impact making
