Arva AI is revolutionising financial crime intelligence with AI agents that automate manual review tasks. We help financial institutions conduct AML reviews more efficiently while cutting operational costs by 85%.
We’re looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer who combines technical ability with strong customer instincts. You’ll work directly with customers from their first demo through deployment and expansion, turning complex requirements into working solutions.
About the Role
You’ll sit at the intersection of engineering, product and commercial delivery, owning the technical work that helps customers evaluate, deploy and get value from Arva.
One day, you might be onsite with a compliance team to understand how they investigate alerts. The next, you could be building an integration, configuring an on-premises deployment or demonstrating a new use case to a prospective customer.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building, communicates confidently and takes ownership of getting things live.
What You’ll Do
Own pilots and proofs of concept. Translate customer requirements into clear scopes, success criteria and delivery plans. Configure solutions, troubleshoot issues and demonstrate measurable results.
Get close to customer workflows. Shadow teams onsite to understand their processes, pain points and technical constraints, then turn those insights into practical solutions.
Deliver compelling demos and technical workshops. Prepare tailored demonstrations, lead technical sessions and explain how Arva fits into each customer’s systems and operations.
Take deployments from agreement to production. Coordinate technical onboarding, build and configure integrations, validate workflows and resolve blockers to launch.
Support on-premises and private infrastructure deployments. Work with customer engineering and security teams on installation, configuration, access, networking and operational readiness.
Build where it makes a difference. Write TypeScript, work with APIs and create integrations or tooling that help customers adopt Arva successfully.
Unlock expansion opportunities. Identify additional workflows and use cases, validate their value with customers and partner with the commercial team to bring them to life.
Shape the product. Bring structured customer feedback to engineering and product, helping distinguish bespoke requirements from improvements that benefit the wider customer base.
Make delivery repeatable. Document integrations, deployment patterns and troubleshooting steps so each implementation becomes faster and more reliable.
Our Culture
Relentless Urgency
We move fast and decisively, focusing on delivering real outcomes instead of waiting for perfect conditions.
Excellence in Everything
We hold a high bar in every detail, from product quality to how we communicate and support customers, even when no one is watching. We make an intense effort to learn and expand our knowledge, and redefine what excellence means as we grow.
Proactive Ownership
We take initiative without waiting to be asked, communicate early and clearly, are always curious, and continuously improve what we build and how we work.
Zoom Out, Then In
We know when to be strategic by stepping back to understand the bigger picture, and when to think tactically and execute with focus and follow-through.
What We’re Looking For
Relevant engineering experience. You’ve worked in forward deployed engineering, DevOps, solutions engineering or a similarly hands-on role delivering software into real customer environments.
Deployment knowledge. You understand cloud and on-premises environments, including containers, networking, authentication, configuration and monitoring. You can investigate problems across an application and its infrastructure.
Practical coding ability. You’re comfortable reading, writing and debugging TypeScript, working with APIs and building integrations.
Strong product judgement. You ask thoughtful questions, understand the problem behind a request and find the simplest effective solution.
Clear, confident communication. You can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and discuss implementation details with engineers. You make recommendations with conviction and are honest about trade-offs.
The ability to build rapport. You listen carefully, earn trust and stay composed when customers challenge your recommendations or priorities change.
Urgency and ownership. You move quickly, communicate progress early and follow through until the problem is resolved.
A resourceful mindset. You look for a workable path forward, test assumptions and know when to bring others in.
Evidence of drive and excellence. You’ve demonstrated high standards and initiative through your work, education, projects or entrepreneurial experience.
Experience with financial services, AML/KYB workflows, enterprise security requirements or applied AI products is a plus.
