City, State: New Orleans, Louisiana Title: Food Runner Location: New Orleans, LA FLSA: Non Exempt Status: Full-time Reports to: F&B manager Pay Range: $14 per hour A Food Runner is responsible for delivering prepared food from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately while supporting servers and maintaining a clean, organized dining area. Key Responsibilities Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the correct tables promptly. Verify that each order is complete, accurate, and properly presented before leaving the kitchen. Communicate with servers, kitchen staff, and management regarding special requests or missing items. Assist servers with clearing, resetting, and maintaining tables as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of food service areas. Follow food safety, sanitation, and restaurant procedures. Help restock plates, utensils, condiments, and other service supplies. Provide friendly and professional service to guests when delivering food. Assist with other restaurant duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous restaurant or customer-service experience is helpful but not always required. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely carry food trays or plates. Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required. Physical Requirements Frequently standing and walking throughout the shift. Ability to lift and carry trays, plates, and supplies. Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced kitchen and dining environment.
