Netflix is seeking a Senior Manager to lead our Consumer Products Title planning efforts for anime globally and to support Consumer Products for local language content in APAC. In this role, you will build a deep understanding of IPs within the Anime genre. You will work with the content team to determine which anime to pursue for Consumer Products(CP), creating and delivering pitch materials, building relationships with the rights holders and supporting rights negotiations. You will craft the title strategy for each IP, including identifying the target CP audience, category mix and partners (in conjunction with our commercial teams). You will drive cross-functional alignment across regions as we refine and execute each title strategy. You will serve as the connective tissue between production committees, internal teams and partners, deepening trust in Netflix’s Consumer Products business. The ideal candidate has experience working with anime production committees and navigating fast-paced cross-functional & global environments. Key responsibilities: Craft global CP title strategy for our anime titles across all merchandise (e.g. toys, collectibles, food, beverage, apparel, etc) in collaboration with our commercial leads in UCAN, EMEA, LATAM and APAC. Create pitch materials to secure anime rights and enhance commercial potential of upcoming IPs, adjusting for regional nuances. Work with production committees, consumer insights, product development and creative teams to improve merchandisability throughout a title’s development. Manage cross-functional deliverables and approvals throughout the title lifecycle. Cultivate deep trust with publishers and rights holders. Track commercial progress and adjust positioning based on market feedback. Ensure cross-functional alignment on IP brand positioning and level of support within CP organization and Netflix more broadly. Evaluate performance post launch and in success, craft plans to sustain and extend IP. Propose opportunities to improve ways-of-working and innovate our consumer products’ playbook. Act as conduit to identify and track local CP opportunities within Japan & Korea slates outside of anime. Provides input to CP teams on import title activation in APAC (e.g., One Piece, K-pop Demon Hunters) What we need from you: Demonstrated, 13+ years of experience in anime Consumer Products, working with publishers and production committees. Experience with line planning and building multi-year CP franchise strategies. Experience working with global franchises or partners, and translating high-level strategy into local execution. Proven ability to navigate cross-functional projects within a matrix organization. Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
