Responsibilities:

  • Lead launch readiness and the Canadian brokerage licence application, coordinating with Charger leadership and legal support. Serve as Qualified Officer following eligibility verification and required approvals.
  • Establish importer onboarding, CARM, release, accounting, correction, recordkeeping and quality-control procedures.
  • Oversee tariff classification, valuation, origin and other agency requirements; resolve shipment exceptions and escalate compliance concerns.
  • Implement customs filing software with the technology team and connect document intake, release status, billing and reconciliation with Charger’s TMS.

  • Hands-on Canadian customs brokerage experience, including responsibility for staff, filing quality, client service and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong practical knowledge of CARM, Canadian release and accounting, tariff classification, valuation, origin and relevant government-agency requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement procedures, resolve exceptions, supervise a team and work with finance, technology and commercial colleagues.

    Preferred experience
  • Eight or more years in brokerage, including three or more leading a team or function. Experience launching or expanding a brokerage, implementing filing systems or supporting a licence application is an advantage.
