Senior Analyst, Procurement.

SENIOR LEVEL
Purpose. Performance. People. Joining CPP Investments means joining one of the world’s most admired and respected institutional investors to drive a single mandate: to deliver strong, sustainable returns for generations of Canadians. With a long-term horizon and global reach, we deploy capital at scale across public and private markets. Our size, stability, and disciplined investment philosophy allow us to pursue complex opportunities and build enduring partnerships worldwide. For our people, this means meaningful work with tangible impact, real opportunity, and collaboration with exceptional colleagues who value partnership and performance. Here, you’ll contribute to outcomes that matter alongside team members committed to excellence and shared success. The Role As Senior Analyst, Procurement - Vendor Management & Insights, you will help strengthen CPP Investments’ strategic vendor management and commercial advisory capabilities. Working closely with the Manager and Associate, Procurement, you will enhance visibility into enterprise vendor relationships, support vendor performance management and translate complex commercial information into actionable insights. Initially focused on Professional Services and Consulting, you will contribute to better-informed decisions, improved vendor outcomes and more efficient Procurement processes through insight generation, collaboration and digital innovation. The Team Procurement supports CPP Investments by enabling effective sourcing, supplier relationships and commercial decision-making across the organization. Through collaboration with business partners, Procurement provides practical guidance and support to help strengthen vendor outcomes, commercial value and operational efficiency. The Vendor Management & Insights function focuses on improving visibility into strategic and enterprise vendor relationships, particularly where vendors span multiple business areas or there is no clear enterprise relationship owner. Initially focused on Professional Services and Consulting, the work brings together vendor performance insights, commercial analysis and process improvements to support informed decisions and stronger supplier relationships. Accountabilities Support QBRs, SBRs and other vendor governance discussions by developing the underlying fact base, performance insights and decision materials, and tracking agreed actions. Coordinate the end-to-end post-engagement vendor performance process, including identifying completed engagements, issuing surveys, tracking responses, analyzing feedback and supporting follow-up actions. Analyze spend, contracts, Statements of Work, vendor performance and market intelligence to identify commercial trends, risks and opportunities and proactively flag areas requiring further investigation or action. Translate structured and unstructured information into actionable insights, recommendations and decision materials for business partners. Support vendor and category strategies through market research, commercial analysis, pricing comparisons, vendor intelligence and negotiation preparation, and contribute to sourcing activities where appropriate. Partner with Systems & Analytics and Source-to-Pay teams to define data and reporting needs, improve data visibility, and translate business requirements into reporting, automation and vendor management solutions. Identify and test practical applications of AI in vendor intelligence, stakeholder feedback analysis, contract and SOW review, performance management and QBR preparation. What You Bring 3–5 years of relevant experience in procurement, supplier or vendor management, commercial operations, business analysis, strategic sourcing or a related field. Foundational knowledge of procurement and commercial concepts, including contracts, pricing structures, supplier relationships and vendor performance management. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex or incomplete information, connect multiple data sources and develop practical recommendations. Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize findings into concise presentations and decision-support materials. Strong organizational skills, sound judgement and the ability to independently manage defined workstreams while building effective relationships across teams. Commercial curiosity and an interest in improving processes, exploring digital procurement tools, automation and practical AI applications. Experience supporting supplier performance, category management, strategic sourcing or commercial analysis is an asset, as is exposure to Professional Services, Consulting or enterprise vendor relationships. You are motivated to contribute to something larger than yourself, approach complex challenges with rigor, and hold yourself to high standards in a collaborative, performance-driven environment. We provide colleagues with cutting-edge AI tools, dedicated learning time, and practical support to help them deliver with greater impact. Inclusion & Accessibility CPP Investments is committed to equitable access to employment and building a workforce that reflects diverse talent and perspectives. If you require accommodation at any stage of the recruitment process, please let us know and we will work with you to meet your needs. Attention: Protect Yourself from Fraud CPP Investments is committed to a secure and transparent recruitment process. We will never ask candidates for payment or financial information at any stage of hiring. All legitimate opportunities are posted on our careers page, and communications will come from our applicant tracking system, Workday. CPP Investments may use AI tools to help screen and assess applicants by analyzing resumes and applications for relevant skills and experience. These tools support, but do not replace, human decision-making. #LI-ONSITE About Us Why Work With Us For 25 years, we’ve proudly invested the Canada Pension Plan Fund, helping to secure retirement for more than 22 million Canadians.
