Summary of Role: GlobalFoundries in Essex, VT is seeking a Building System Engineer intern in Essex, VT. Essential Responsibilities: Operates, monitors and maintains, troubleshoots, repairs and replaces facilities mechanical components and systems such as mechanical equipment, Process Cooling Water systems, and exhaust HVAC systems. Oversees the Building Technician as well as the preventive maintenance program. Develops and implements capital improvement projects, such as construction, remodeling, renovation, improvements and maintenance of Building equipment, including preliminary concept development, detailed engineering design and providing scope of work for bidding. Conducts periodic inspections of work in progress and advises construction supervisors and contractors on plans and specifications. Inspects and maintains existing facilities equipment and prepares reports on the condition, deficiencies observed, designs necessary for repairs and estimated cost of repairs. Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements Work and collaborate with other projects and/or assignments as needed.
