Job Summary This job entails providing advanced legal expertise, shaping policy, and driving strategic initiatives. It involves managing complex legal research and external counsel. The role requires a proactive approach to legal challenges and regulatory compliance. Job Description Responsibilities: Providing in-depth legal counsel to specific business units, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies Provide expert legal advice and counsel to HR, the businesses and other in-house lawyers on the full range of immigration issues faced by the company globally. Draft and review supporting documents for immigration applications and business travel, with a particular focus on supporting applications for H1, L1 and O1 visas. Develop and implement global in-house immigration strategy. Ensure compliance with all immigration laws, including oversight of I-9 processes. Manage Immigration Specialist, including guidance on the PERM process. Develop and manage strategic and effective relationships with external counsel globally to best serve the company’s immigration requirements. Interpreting regulatory changes and advising on legal risks to preemptively protect business interests Collaborating with senior executives to develop and implement legal policies and procedures Leading complex legal research initiatives to inform organizational decision-making and strategy Managing the selection and oversight of outside counsel for specialized legal matters Formulating legal strategies and solutions that address unique business challenges Exercising high-level discretion and judgment in sensitive and impactful legal cases Contributing to strategic planning with legal expertise that influences company-wide objectives Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
