The Senior Financial Analyst will support business performance through financial analysis, reporting, and data-driven insights. This role will conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting budgets, expenses, and other financial projects. It also involves partnering with cross-functional teams to support planning, forecasting, and decision-making, while improving reporting processes, and enhancing financial visibility across the organization.
- Collect, consolidate, and analyze financial information for assigned accounts, products or product lines, or business units to track the organization's progress against financial goals.
- Act as project manager for processes including month end, forecasting, and budget consolidations. Responsible for keeping processes moving and adjusting as necessary based on feedback from stakeholders.
- Responsible for SG&A reporting for operational departments.
- Perform advanced financial analysis to support business operations, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario modeling.
- Partner closely with stakeholders across functions, including operations, commercial, and corporate teams, to influence decision-making and provide actionable financial insights.
- Analyze cash flow, expenditure, revenue, depreciation, and investments to make recommendations for action and/or modifications regarding financial procedures, plans, and controls.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, or annual financial statements.
- Improve and streamline financial reporting processes, including automation and data integration where applicable
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to less experienced financial analysts, helping improve analytical quality, reporting discipline, and overall finance team effectiveness.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data across systems and reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required; MBA or related master’s degree preferred.
- 6+ years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), financial analysis, corporate finance, accounting, or related finance functions.
- Knowledge of industry-specific financial metrics (e.g., manufacturing, services, or commercial KPIs)
- Strong analytical skills and experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis.
- Experience leading projects and managing timelines.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling, and data analysis.
- Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings to management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with financial planning tools, ERP systems, or data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Exposure to data automation tools or programming languages (e.g., Power Query, VBA, Python)
