This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Customer Services Project Manager based in the United States.

The Customer Services Project Manager will oversee complex electrical infrastructure and customer service projects from initial planning through execution, commissioning, and final delivery. This role combines project leadership, financial management, technical coordination, and customer relationship management across critical power distribution and electrical systems. You will lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, field personnel, contractors, and external suppliers to deliver projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with customers and internal stakeholders, you will manage risks, contractual obligations, project schedules, and financial performance while ensuring transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle. Your portfolio may include data center construction, electrical distribution installations, equipment upgrades, maintenance outages, and emergency response initiatives. This remote opportunity offers the chance to lead high-impact infrastructure projects while strengthening customer partnerships and delivering reliable electrical solutions.

Accountabilities:

  • Manage the full project lifecycle: Lead customer service projects from initiation and planning through execution, installation, commissioning, and closeout, ensuring compliance with safety, budget, schedule, quality, and performance objectives.
  • Develop project execution plans: Establish detailed project schedules, resource plans, quality and testing plans, risk registers, and delivery strategies aligned with contractual requirements and customer expectations.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams: Assign and manage resources across engineering, field service, vendors, consultants, contractors, and third-party service providers to ensure effective collaboration and timely project delivery.
  • Oversee electrical infrastructure projects: Manage initiatives involving low- and medium-voltage switchgear, transformers, motor control centers, electrical distribution systems, integrated electrical house solutions, battery systems, cables, busways, and associated equipment.
  • Lead data center and construction projects: Coordinate electrical infrastructure installations, turnkey design-build initiatives, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects, power system studies, and other complex customer service engagements.
  • Manage project budgets and financial performance: Monitor project costs, track financial results, prepare monthly revenue forecasts, evaluate financial risks, and implement corrective measures to maintain profitability and budget compliance.
  • Control schedules and project progress: Track milestones, evaluate completion forecasts, monitor project performance, and implement recovery plans when delays, resource constraints, or other issues threaten delivery commitments.
  • Manage contracts and change orders: Review contractual obligations, assess scope changes, negotiate change orders, support vendor negotiations, and ensure suppliers and contractors comply with agreed terms.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks: Proactively assess technical, operational, financial, and scheduling risks, develop mitigation strategies, and maintain effective oversight of third-party vendors and service providers.
  • Maintain customer relationships: Communicate regularly with clients, manage expectations, provide project updates, coordinate site schedules, and resolve issues to support customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Ensure safety and quality compliance: Apply appropriate safety protocols, oversee quality assurance activities, review engineering drawings, and coordinate testing and commissioning to ensure reliable project outcomes.
  • Lead stakeholder communication: Present complex project issues, performance updates, and recommendations to internal teams, customers, management, and other stakeholders at different organizational levels.
  • Drive continuous improvement: Capture project feedback, identify opportunities to improve delivery methods, and recommend enhancements to service offerings, execution processes, and customer experience.
  • Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Management, Business, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional experience: At least five years of relevant experience in the offered role or a comparable position, such as Project Coordinator, Project Engineer, Contracts Manager, Field Service Engineer, or Field Service Technician.
  • Construction project management: At least five years of direct project management experience in construction environments, including electrical distribution projects.
  • Electrical distribution expertise: At least four years of experience with the design or installation of low- or medium-voltage electrical distribution systems.
  • Data center experience: At least four years of experience working on data center construction projects.
  • Project planning and execution: Demonstrated experience managing project schedules, budgets, resources, field personnel, progress evaluations, and financial reporting across complex technical projects.
  • Risk and contract management: Strong knowledge of risk identification and mitigation, contractual obligations, change order negotiation, vendor oversight, and project recovery planning.
  • Technical capabilities: Experience reviewing engineering drawings, coordinating electrical installations, managing testing and commissioning activities, and ensuring compliance with applicable safety protocols.
  • Financial and commercial acumen: Ability to monitor project costs, forecast revenue, evaluate financial performance, and make informed decisions to maintain project profitability.
  • Stakeholder management: Proven ability to communicate complex issues clearly to audiences at multiple organizational levels and coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leadership and collaboration: Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to direct multidisciplinary teams, manage competing priorities, resolve issues, and maintain accountability across project participants.
  • Customer focus: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a commitment to managing expectations, resolving concerns, and delivering high-quality customer outcomes.
  • Problem-solving and adaptability: Ability to identify emerging project challenges, develop practical solutions, and implement corrective actions in dynamic construction and field service environments.
  • Travel availability: Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to approximately 25%, depending on project and customer requirements.
  • Work arrangement: The position is remote, with travel to project sites and customer locations as required.
  • Benefits:

  • Competitive annual salary: Advertised annual salary range of $133,182–$150,144.
  • Full-time, permanent employment: A stable professional opportunity with responsibility for complex electrical infrastructure and customer service projects.
