Director, Capital Markets.

FULL TIMEREMOTELEADERSHIPFINANCE & LEGAL$190K–200K/YR

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Capital Markets based in the United States.

The Director of Capital Markets will play a pivotal role in financing a rapidly expanding portfolio of data center and digital infrastructure developments. This hands-on, transaction-focused position will lead debt financing activities across project finance, construction loans, corporate credit facilities, and capital markets transactions. You will manage complex deals from initial structuring and financial modeling through negotiations, documentation, and closing. Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, you will help optimize capital structures and support strategic investment decisions. The role also involves building strong relationships with banks, lenders, investors, rating agencies, and external legal advisors. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to contribute directly to the growth of a dynamic digital infrastructure business. The position is fully remote within the United States, with travel of up to 25%.

Accountabilities

    • Capital Markets Strategy and Execution: Execute debt financing strategies across construction loans, project finance facilities, corporate credit arrangements, and capital markets issuances to support ongoing development and expansion.

    • End-to-End Transaction Management: Lead multiple financing transactions simultaneously, coordinating deal structuring, financial modeling, lender negotiations, due diligence, legal documentation, and financial close.

    • Financial Modeling and Analysis: Build and maintain sophisticated financial models, perform cash flow projections, and conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to evaluate financing structures, capital costs, debt capacity, and equity requirements.

    • Financing Documentation and Due Diligence: Review and assess term sheets, credit agreements, security and collateral documents, guarantees, hedging arrangements, and related lease agreements to support effective transaction execution.

    • Lender and Investor Relations: Serve as a primary liaison with banks, lenders, administrative agents, investors, rating agencies, and external legal counsel, maintaining strong relationships throughout financing transactions.

    • Executive and Investor Presentations: Prepare lender presentations, rating agency materials, term sheet summaries, and financial updates for senior management, board approvals, and earnings presentations.

    • Post-Closing Compliance and Reporting: Monitor active financing facilities, oversee covenant calculations, prepare compliance certificates, and coordinate ongoing lender reporting to ensure contractual obligations are met.

    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Corporate Development, Treasury, Legal, Accounting, and Data Center teams to align financing activities with business objectives, project timelines, and investment priorities.

    • Market and Financing Analysis: Monitor capital markets conditions, macroeconomic developments, and financing trends to identify opportunities, assess risks, and recommend effective funding strategies.

    • Requirements

      • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. An MBA or CFA designation is preferred.

      • Professional Experience: At least 7–10 years of relevant experience in investment banking, project finance, corporate finance, treasury, capital markets, leveraged finance, private equity, or a comparable field.

      • Industry Knowledge: Experience in data centers, digital infrastructure, power, energy, or real estate is preferred.

      • Capital Markets Expertise: Strong understanding of financial markets and experience with project finance, bank debt, high-yield financing, asset-backed securities (ABS), private placements, or similar debt instruments.

      • Advanced Financial Modeling: Strong Excel skills, including cash flow modeling, debt mechanics, scenario analysis, and financing structure evaluation.

      • Presentation and Reporting Skills: Proficiency in PowerPoint and the ability to prepare clear, persuasive financial presentations and transaction materials for lenders, investors, and senior executives.

      • Transaction Execution: Demonstrated ability to manage complex financing transactions from initial structuring through closing, including negotiations, due diligence, documentation, and stakeholder coordination.

      • Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Strong financial judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to assess financing alternatives, evaluate risks, and recommend commercially sound solutions.

      • Communication and Negotiation: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven negotiation capabilities and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and external financial partners.

      • Organization and Time Management: Ability to manage multiple concurrent transactions, balance competing priorities, and meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

      • Flexibility and Travel: Willingness to travel up to 25% for lender and investor meetings, site visits, and corporate events.

      • Benefits

        • Competitive compensation: Annual base salary of $190,000–$200,000, depending on experience.

        • Performance incentives: Eligibility for a performance-based bonus and a sign-on equity grant.

        • Long-term equity participation: Access to equity incentive programs, providing an opportunity to share in the organization's long-term growth.
