Lead Engineer, Cloud and Platform Engineering.

Accountabilities:

Full-Stack Platform Development: Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade cloud platform applications, including responsive self-service portals, backend services, and developer-facing tools that simplify cloud infrastructure management.
API and Backend Engineering: Build scalable REST APIs, microservices, data models, and automated workflows supporting cloud onboarding, provisioning, access management, and resource decommissioning.
Cloud Platform Integration: Integrate cloud environments with enterprise systems and services, including CI/CD pipelines, identity and access management, IT Service Management (ITSM), governance policies, observability, and cloud cost-management solutions.
Infrastructure as Code and Automation: Leverage Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies to automate cloud provisioning, develop reusable infrastructure modules, enforce governance standards, and streamline operational workflows.
Cloud Architecture and Engineering: Develop secure, scalable, and reliable cloud-native applications across Microsoft Azure, AWS, and other approved cloud platforms, following modern architecture principles and enterprise engineering standards.
Developer Experience and Self-Service Capabilities: Build reusable services, templates, automation tools, and developer resources that accelerate cloud adoption, improve user experience, and reduce manual operational effort.
DevSecOps and Engineering Excellence: Establish and promote best practices for code reviews, automated testing, secure coding, source control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
Security and Governance: Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms, integrate security automation, and ensure platform solutions comply with enterprise security and governance requirements.
Monitoring and Platform Reliability: Improve platform reliability and operational visibility through monitoring, logging, telemetry, troubleshooting, and proactive incident resolution.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cloud architects, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity professionals, Cloud Operations, and global stakeholders to gather requirements, manage technical dependencies, and deliver strategic platform initiatives.
Performance and Continuous Improvement: Monitor platform performance and adoption, gather user feedback, analyze operational data, and introduce improvements that enhance developer productivity, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Technical Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to engineering standards, technical documentation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to strengthen platform capabilities and support consistent delivery across teams.
Requirements:
5–8 years of professional experience developing and delivering scalable full-stack applications and enterprise software solutions.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline is preferred. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in place of a formal degree.
Strong expertise in modern frontend technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
Proficiency in backend development using Node.js, .NET, Java, or Python.
Proven experience designing, developing, and integrating REST APIs, microservices, and relational or NoSQL databases in cloud environments.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, source control, code reviews, secure coding practices, and modern DevOps methodologies.
Experience deploying and managing cloud-native applications, including authentication, authorization, monitoring, and observability.
Strong practical knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code, including reusable module development, automated provisioning pipelines, infrastructure governance, and deployment automation.
Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure and/or AWS cloud services, including cloud architecture, networking, identity management, and security.
Knowledge of containerization technologies, Kubernetes, serverless computing, and cloud infrastructure automation.
Understanding of modern software architecture principles, distributed systems, application scalability, and enterprise integration patterns.
Ability to develop self-service platforms, developer portals, and reusable cloud solutions that improve engineering efficiency and operational excellence.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges and deliver reliable solutions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional and globally distributed teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate technical dependencies, and contribute to strategic engineering initiatives.
Willingness to travel up to approximately 20% as required by business needs.
