    • Draft, proofread, format, and prepare pleadings, legal correspondence, and other civil litigation documents.

    • Monitor court deadlines and case-related timelines to prevent missed filings and last-minute delays.

    • Communicate proactively with attorneys and team members regarding case developments, pending tasks, upcoming deadlines, and potential issues.

    • Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and independently move litigation matters forward without requiring repeated reminders.

    • Communicate professionally with clients regarding case status, document requests, onboarding requirements, and next steps.

    • Assist with new client onboarding and maintain accurate, organized client files and case records.

    • Identify missing information, potential issues, and approaching deadlines early, escalating concerns when appropriate.

    • Provide general legal and administrative assistance to support the wider production team.

    • Follow established procedures while maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, accuracy, and timely task completion.

    • Requirements:

      • Strong previous experience as a Legal Assistant, specifically supporting civil litigation matters.

      • Hands-on experience drafting, preparing, and proofreading pleadings and other litigation-related legal documents.

      • Proven experience managing electronic legal filings, court deadlines, and case documentation.

      • Practical experience accurately tracking and recording billable time.

      • Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

      • Strong typing skills and proficiency in preparing, formatting, and reviewing legal documents.

      • Good understanding of litigation case management, calendar coordination, and deadline tracking.

      • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.

      • Strong client service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and clearly.

      • Ability to take initiative, work independently, ask relevant questions, and proactively move cases forward.

      • Comfortable receiving direct professional feedback and applying it constructively.

      • High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential client and case information appropriately.

      • Strong problem-solving skills, accountability, adaptability, and responsiveness.

      • Ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys and colleagues in a remote working environment.

      • Experience with Smokeball CRM is preferred but not required.

      • Familiarity with legal practice management tools such as Smokeball CRM and VXT is an advantage.
