Packaging Designer.

FULL TIMEREMOTEDESIGN

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Packaging Designer based in Brazil.

In this role, you will take ownership of packaging design and production across a diverse and growing consumer product portfolio. You will transform brand concepts into compelling packaging solutions that stand out across direct-to-consumer, specialty, and mass retail environments. From initial creative exploration to final production-ready artwork, you will oversee the entire packaging development process, ensuring quality, consistency, and technical accuracy. Working closely with Brand Creative, Marketing, Product, Regulatory, Operations, and Production teams, you will bring new products and packaging innovations to life. You will also play a critical role in ensuring regulatory compliance, managing artwork revisions, and maintaining accurate production files across multiple SKUs. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing, international consumer wellness brand in a collaborative and dynamic remote environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Packaging Design and Concept Development: Design primary and secondary packaging across the product portfolio, managing the creative process from initial concepts through final approved artwork.
  • Brand Identity and Creative Execution: Develop packaging solutions that translate brand identity consistently across different materials, formats, substrates, and retail environments.
  • New Product Development: Create design concepts and visual directions for new product launches, line extensions, limited editions, and seasonal packaging initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Presentations: Present creative concepts and design recommendations to internal stakeholders, incorporating feedback and managing revisions efficiently.
  • Artwork and Production Preparation: Create complete, technically accurate, print-ready artwork files using Adobe Illustrator, including die-lines, structural details, color separations, Pantone specifications, and finishing instructions such as varnish, spot UV, embossing, debossing, and foil.
  • Artwork Versioning and File Management: Manage packaging artwork updates across multiple SKUs, ensuring all files remain organized, accurate, and current as product formulations, marketing claims, and regulatory requirements evolve.
  • Print Production Coordination: Collaborate with printers and production partners to ensure artwork meets technical specifications and production requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Review printed proofs and production samples against approved specifications, identifying discrepancies and providing clear, actionable feedback for corrections.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Partner with Regulatory teams to incorporate required packaging information, including nutrition facts, ingredient statements, certifications, product claims, legal copy, and applicable regulations such as Proposition 65.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Brand Creative, Brand Marketing, Product, Regulatory, Operations, and Production teams to ensure packaging projects remain aligned with brand standards and business objectives.
  • Project Risk Management: Identify potential production feasibility, cost, and timeline challenges early, proposing practical design solutions to keep projects on schedule.
  • Documentation and Archiving: Maintain accurate, up-to-date packaging files and organized design archives for all active products.
  • Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of professional packaging design experience, preferably within consumer packaged goods (CPG), food and beverage, consumer health, or wellness brands.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, with strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
  • Extensive understanding of print production processes, including packaging substrates, finishing techniques, color management, printing specifications, and production-ready file preparation.
  • Proven experience designing packaging for multiple commercial environments, including direct-to-consumer (DTC), specialty retail, and mass retail.
  • Strong knowledge of packaging regulations and on-pack compliance requirements, including nutrition facts panels, ingredient declarations, certifications, product claims, and Proposition 65 requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience managing artwork revisions, version control, and file organization across a multi-SKU product portfolio.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple packaging projects, deadlines, and revisions simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong visual communication and creative problem-solving abilities, with an understanding of how packaging design supports brand positioning and retail performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, printers, and external production partners.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to identify potential production challenges and recommend solutions before they affect project delivery.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative, and international remote environment.
  • Strong sense of ownership, adaptability, and commitment to delivering high-quality creative work.
  • Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation aligned with professional experience and market benchmarks.
  • Comprehensive employee benefits package.
  • Paid time off (PTO).
  • Company-observed holidays.
  • Fully remote working environment with an international team.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career growth.
  • Access to tools, resources, and training to support professional success.
  • Collaborative, inclusive, and supportive company culture.
  • Opportunity to contribute to innovative product launches and the growth of an expanding consumer wellness portfolio.
