Photoshop Specialist - Freelance AI Trainer Project.

CONTRACTREMOTEDATA & ML$8–65/HR

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Photoshop Specialist – Freelance AI Trainer Project based remotely in Canada.

Help shape the future of AI by applying your Adobe Photoshop expertise to the training and evaluation of advanced AI models. In this freelance project, you will assess how effectively AI systems understand professional image-editing techniques, creative workflows, and complex design challenges. You will test model responses against realistic scenarios, identify technical inaccuracies, and evaluate whether suggested workflows are practical and logically sound. Your feedback will help improve AI capabilities in photo editing, compositing, retouching, and digital image creation. You will also document recurring errors and recommend improvements to prompts and evaluation methods. This remote opportunity is ideal for experienced design professionals who combine creative judgment with technical precision and enjoy explaining complex workflows clearly.

Accountabilities:

As a Photoshop Specialist, you will evaluate AI-generated guidance on image editing and digital design, identify workflow errors, and contribute structured feedback to improve model performance.

    • Test AI models using real-world design scenarios and technical questions related to Adobe Photoshop.

    • Evaluate responses covering photo editing, compositing, photomanipulation, retouching, color correction, color grading, and digital illustration.

    • Assess technical guidance on layer masking, smart objects, adjustment layers, blend modes, filters, and typography.

    • Review workflows involving non-destructive editing, realistic mockups, advanced selections, actions and automation, image resolution optimization, and creative effects.

    • Verify the accuracy, practicality, and logical consistency of suggested editing techniques and creative workflows.

    • Identify and document model failure modes, including incorrect instructions, inefficient workflows, and misunderstandings of Photoshop functionality.

    • Capture reproducible error traces and clearly explain the reasons behind technical inaccuracies or incomplete recommendations.

    • Recommend improvements to prompts, testing procedures, and evaluation criteria to strengthen AI performance in creative applications.

    • Explain technical and creative reasoning step by step to support reliable evaluation and continuous improvement.

    • Requirements:

The ideal candidate has strong practical Photoshop skills, a solid understanding of digital design workflows, and the ability to evaluate technical guidance with accuracy and clarity. A relevant academic background, a strong portfolio, or professional experience in creative production can demonstrate suitability for this project.

      • Professional experience using Adobe Photoshop for image editing, compositing, retouching, manipulation, or digital illustration.

      • Strong knowledge of core Photoshop features, including layers, masks, smart objects, adjustment layers, blend modes, selections, filters, and color correction.

      • Familiarity with advanced editing techniques, non-destructive workflows, mockup creation, automation, and image optimization.

      • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in graphic design, visual arts, digital media, or a related field is preferred.

      • A strong portfolio demonstrating technical proficiency and creative problem-solving is an advantage.

      • Familiarity with other Adobe Creative Suite tools is beneficial.

      • Relevant Photoshop training or coursework through platforms such as School of Motion, KelbyOne, Domestika, or Udemy is a plus.

      • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to identify technical errors and assess workflow logic.

      • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to explain creative and technical processes clearly.

      • A meticulous, detail-oriented approach to testing, documenting, and reproducing errors.

      • A secure computer and reliable high-speed internet connection for remote work.

      • Benefits:

        • Hourly compensation: $8–$65 per hour, depending on experience, expertise, and geographic location. Final compensation may vary from the advertised range.

        • Remote work: Work remotely.

        • Freelance flexibility: Contribute as an independent contractor in a contract-based role.

        • Creative impact: Help improve AI systems’ understanding of professional image editing and digital design.

        • Expertise-driven work: Apply your Photoshop knowledge to challenging technical and creative scenarios.

        • AI innovation: Contribute to the development of AI tools that may support creative workflows and design productivity.

        • Independent work environment: Use your own secure computer and high-speed internet connection.

        • Contractor benefits: Company-sponsored health insurance, paid time off, and other employee benefits are not provided.
