Senior DevOps Engineer.

FULL TIMEREMOTESENIOR LEVELDEVOPS & INFRA

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer based in the United States.

Join a cloud infrastructure team responsible for powering communication and collaboration services used by millions of people worldwide. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will help build and operate reliable, secure, and scalable cloud platforms using Kubernetes and modern infrastructure automation practices. You will work closely with engineering teams to streamline deployments, improve observability, and advance fully automated, declarative operations. The role combines hands-on infrastructure engineering with opportunities to influence technical practices and shape an evolving DevOps culture. Working across private infrastructure and public cloud environments, you will contribute to open-source technologies in a remote-first, multicultural setting. This position offers autonomy, technical collaboration, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on cloud services at scale.

Accountabilities:

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will take ownership of cloud infrastructure automation, Kubernetes operations, and platform reliability while collaborating with developers and other engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle. Your key responsibilities will include:

    • Automate the provisioning and configuration of infrastructure, products, and services using Terraform, Helm, and GitOps practices with Argo CD.

    • Operate and maintain production Kubernetes environments across privately managed infrastructure and public cloud platforms.

    • Develop, maintain, and improve Helm charts while supporting engineering teams with Helm-based deployments.

    • Extend platform capabilities through Kubernetes operators when required.

    • Contribute to the management, maintenance, and optimization of database and storage infrastructure.

    • Participate in the on-call rotation, respond to production incidents, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement improvements that strengthen system reliability.

    • Improve infrastructure automation, deployment workflows, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.

    • Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI.

    • Develop and maintain observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, and related technologies.

    • Collaborate with developers and cross-functional engineering teams to improve technical practices, share knowledge, and support continuous improvement.

    • Contribute to the evolution of the team's DevOps approach and engineering culture, promoting declarative, automated, and hands-off operations.

    • Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced infrastructure engineer with strong Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code expertise, solid Linux fundamentals, and a collaborative approach to solving complex technical challenges. You should be comfortable working autonomously in a distributed environment while supporting production systems and collaborating across teams.

      • Several years of experience with infrastructure-as-code and declarative tools such as Terraform, Helm, or GitOps solutions like Argo CD.

      • Practical experience operating Kubernetes clusters and workloads in production environments.

      • Experience developing and maintaining Helm charts, troubleshooting distributed systems, and working with Kubernetes operators.

      • Strong Linux fundamentals and a solid understanding of orchestration, automation, and declarative infrastructure management.

      • Programming or scripting skills in Go, Python, or Shell; Go experience is a plus.

      • Experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI or Jenkins.

      • Familiarity with databases and storage technologies, including MariaDB/MySQL, Cassandra, and S3.

      • Experience with public cloud hyperscalers is an advantage.

      • Strong English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across teams and locations.

      • Interest in open-source technologies and a willingness to contribute to a remote-first, multicultural engineering environment.

      • Ability and willingness to work primarily during US East Coast business hours to collaborate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.

      • Legal authorization to work in the United States. Employment visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

      • Benefits:

        • Fully remote work: Work remotely from within the United States.

        • Flexible working hours: Organize your schedule to better balance professional responsibilities with home and family commitments.

        • Team connection: Participate in in-person workshops and team events.

        • Volunteer time off: Take time to contribute to causes that matter to you.

        • Mental health support: Access support when you need it.

        • Corporate benefits: Receive financial relief through corporate benefit programs.

        • Home office support: Benefit from a subsidy for ergonomic chairs and desks.

        • Location-related benefits: Additional benefits may be discussed during the initial conversation.
