We are seeking an experienced Senior Project / Construction Manager to lead the delivery of large, complex nuclear projects and services across the United States. This senior-level role carries responsibility for project safety, quality, budget, schedule, and contractual performance from proposal development through project closeout. With significant autonomy and opportunities to influence project delivery practices, you will contribute to continuous improvement and coordination across international programs. This role involves frequent domestic and international travel to support project execution, customer engagement, and site activities.

Accountabilities

    • Lead all phases of large, complex nuclear projects, from proposals and planning through execution and closeout, ensuring delivery meets safety, quality, schedule, budget, and contractual requirements.

    • Oversee technical performance, project controls, cost management, schedule tracking, and compliance with applicable nuclear regulations, safety standards, and governance processes.

    • Develop project execution strategies that improve cost effectiveness, strengthen margins, and support successful commercial outcomes.

    • Lead proposal development, pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and the management of contractual changes and claims involving customers and subcontractors.

    • Manage project billing, financial forecasting, cost controls, risks, opportunities, and corrective actions to protect project performance.

    • Direct multidisciplinary teams across engineering, construction, and project controls, setting clear expectations and mentoring developing project management professionals.

    • Act as a primary point of contact for customers, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, resolving complex issues, and aligning project outcomes with customer expectations.

    • Lead change management processes, assess the impacts of scope, schedule, and cost changes, and manage non-conformances and performance gaps.

    • Contribute to continuous improvement by refining project management practices, reporting frameworks, governance processes, and knowledge-sharing initiatives across regions.

    • Requirements

      • At least 15 years of experience in the nuclear industry, with demonstrated success leading large, complex nuclear projects or construction programs.

      • Strong knowledge of nuclear project execution, construction management, project controls, and the regulations, licensing requirements, codes, and standards applicable to nuclear projects.

      • Experience in contract management, procurement, supply chain practices, risk management, change management, and project governance within nuclear or similarly complex environments.

      • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in high-risk, technically demanding settings while maintaining strong safety, quality, and performance standards.

      • Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders.

      • Experience supporting proposal development, commercial negotiations, customer engagement, and business development activities.

      • Familiarity with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) partners, utilities, and Owner's Engineer environments.

      • Experience with new-build nuclear projects, including AP1000 projects, field services, outage support, plant modifications, or international project delivery is considered an asset.

      • Ability to manage competing priorities, navigate complex technical and commercial issues, and work effectively under schedule and performance pressures.

      • Must be a U.S. citizen. Selected candidates must successfully complete pre-employment checks and drug screening and may need to obtain and maintain applicable federal eligibility for access to classified or sensitive information.

      • Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the United States and internationally, with occasional visits to construction and industrial sites.

      • Benefits

        • Annual base salary: $169,000–$238,000 for the position in Tennessee. The final offer may vary based on location, relevant knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
