We are looking for an experienced SQL Developer and CRM Data Migration Specialist to support an international data migration project for a Canadian client. In this hands-on technical role, you will work with complex relational databases, analyzing existing structures and developing reliable data extraction processes. You will be responsible for identifying relevant information, understanding relationships between tables, and preparing accurate datasets for migration. The project involves Sage CRM, offering an opportunity to work with specialized CRM database architectures and migration challenges. You will collaborate with international technical stakeholders while taking ownership of key technical deliverables. Accountabilities:
- Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL scripts and complex queries to support data extraction and migration activities.
- Analyze relational database structures, including schemas, tables, fields, and relationships, to identify relevant information for migration.
- Identify and implement appropriate table joins, database views, and queries to retrieve and organize required datasets.
- Extract, transform, and prepare data from existing CRM platforms for migration into target systems.
- Design and implement reliable, repeatable, and automated data extraction processes to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Investigate complex database structures and troubleshoot technical challenges related to data extraction and transformation.
- Validate extracted datasets to ensure data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and integrity throughout the migration process.
- Collaborate with technical stakeholders to understand business requirements, data specifications, and migration objectives.
- Document SQL logic, database relationships, extraction methodologies, and technical processes to ensure transparency and maintainability.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve data-related issues throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Strong professional experience in SQL development, including complex queries, joins, database views, and SQL scripting.
- Hands-on experience working with relational databases and complex database structures.
- Practical experience in data extraction, transformation, and migration projects.
- Experience developing SQL scripts or automated processes for data extraction and data preparation.
- Strong understanding of database schemas, table relationships, data integrity, and relational database concepts.
- Ability to navigate unfamiliar database environments, analyze existing structures, and identify relevant information for migration.
- Experience troubleshooting data inconsistencies, extraction issues, and complex database challenges.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage technical deliverables, and take ownership of project responsibilities.
- Good communication skills and English proficiency sufficient to collaborate effectively with international technical teams and stakeholders.
- Availability to contribute to a short-term, project-based engagement with an estimated workload of approximately 120 hours.
- Hands-on experience with Sage CRM, particularly its database architecture, tables, fields, and relationships.
- Previous experience extracting or migrating data from Sage CRM into another CRM platform.
- Experience with CRM migration projects involving Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of ETL processes, data integration, and migration automation.
- Experience working with customized CRM databases, legacy systems, or complex enterprise data environments.
- Previous experience in technical consulting or specialized, short-term data migration projects.
