This is a 12-month contract role.
The Warehouse Operations Specialist will support day-to-day warehouse operations while also contributing to the setup, layout, processes, and procedures of the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on warehouse and floor operations as needed.
- Support the design, setup, and organization of warehouse space, workflows, and processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, safety, organization, and overall operations.
- Participate in meetings related to warehouse setup, operations, and process improvement.
- Serve as a delegate or team representative at designated meetings when primary team members have scheduling conflicts.
- Communicate meeting updates, decisions, and action items back to the appropriate team members.
- Assist with coordinating and implementing agreed-upon warehouse changes.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse employees, supervisors, and cross-functional teams.
- Balance daily warehouse responsibilities with assigned project and coordination activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and floor activities.
- Ability to identify operational issues and contribute practical solutions.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to participate effectively in meetings and represent the warehouse team when delegated.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with multiple teams.
- Comfortable balancing hands-on work with planning, coordination, and project responsibilities.
- ERP system familiarity
Preferred Qualifications:
- IFS ERP system familiarity
- Experience in the biotech or medical device industry is a plus.
- Experience operating forklifts and other powered equipment is a plus.
