Commercial Optimization Lead.

SENIOR LEVELPEOPLE & OPS
When you’re the best, we’re the best. We instill an environment where employees feel engaged, satisfied and able to contribute their unique skills and talents while living and working as their authentic selves. We provide extensive opportunities for personal and professional development, building both employee competence and organizational capability to fuel exceptional performance through an inclusive environment both now and in the future. Summary: In this role, you will serve as the primary business lead for an assigned functional domain within Vizient's Unified Commercial Platform (UCP), Microsoft Dynamics 365, such as Sales, Project Operations, Customer Service, or Platform Innovation. You will work closely with Business Unit leaders to define business priorities, operational needs, and desired outcomes, and partner across IT, Revenue Operations, Accounting, Finance, Legal, and other shared services to translate those priorities into scalable, technically sound platform capabilities. Reporting to the Senior Director, Commercial Optimization, you will champion process optimization, platform adoption, and continuous improvement while balancing enterprise standards with Business Unit needs to deliver measurable business value. Responsibilities: Build trusted partnerships with Business Unit leaders and maintain a deep understanding of commercial operations, business challenges, processes, and priorities within the assigned domain. Promote clear, scalable, consistent enterprise processes while appropriately enabling Business Unit requirements and championing data quality, hygiene, and integrity. Represent business priorities in Functional Domain Teams, the Cross Platform Council, Release Forums, and other governance activities, helping resolve competing priorities and support enterprise decision-making. Define business objectives, requirements, and desired outcomes for platform enhancements and process improvements within the broader business and technology environment. Lead an assigned commercial technology domain, serving as the primary business representative and contact for platform priorities, enhancements, operational support, and evolving capability needs. Lead business demand intake, assessment, and requirements definition, and maintain the business backlog for the assigned functional domain. Identify and operationalize opportunities to create business value through platform capabilities, process optimization, automation, artificial intelligence, and organizational alignment. Partner with Business Technical Product Owners to evaluate business value, technical feasibility, dependencies, cross-functional impacts, release planning, and implementation approaches. Recommend platform priorities and roadmap sequencing that balance Business Unit objectives, enterprise standards, shared capabilities, and technical considerations. Partner with Revenue Enablement, Business Units, and IT to support business readiness, communications, training, adoption, business acceptance, and post-release optimization. Monitor platform utilization, user feedback, data quality, and operational performance to prioritize continuous improvement and measurable business outcomes. Collaborate across Commercial Optimization, Revenue Operations, Business Units, IT, Accounting, Finance, Legal, and other shared services to coordinate dependencies, evaluate emerging Microsoft and Copilot capabilities, and influence decisions through expertise and trusted partnerships rather than formal authority. Qualifications: Relevant degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. 7 or more years of progressive experience in Corporate Strategy, Revenue Operations, Commercial Operations, Business Operations, Product Management, Total Quality Management, Management/Operations Consulting, or related business transformation roles required. Demonstrated success driving business process optimization, organizational change, platform adoption, and continuous improvement, supported by strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong understanding of commercial business processes across one or more functional areas in a B2B environment, including Sales, Account Management, Service/Value Delivery, Customer Service, or related business functions. Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, facilitating decisions, prioritizing competing needs, and influencing stakeholders without direct authority. Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, leadership, and executive presentation skills. Demonstrated experience partnering with business leaders to define priorities, improve commercial processes, and deliver technology-enabled business solutions. Conversant around financial reporting, accounting frameworks, and applied statistics. Experience collaborating with technology teams to translate business needs into scalable solutions while balancing business value, technical feasibility, dependencies, and enterprise standards. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft Power Platform, other enterprise CRM/ERP platforms, or business-facing product ownership or commercial systems roles preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, AI-enabled business processes, intelligent automation and workflow orchestration preferred. Experience supporting enterprise CRM or commercial platform implementations, upgrades, releases, or operating models and working within Agile and Waterfall product delivery environments preferred. Certification or formal training in Agile, Product Management, Lean Six Sigma, Prosci Change Management, or related disciplines preferred.
