The Opportunity As a dedicated Portfolio Strategist (Mid-Level), you will assemble and analyze financial data, conduct statistical studies and industry research, and support the development and implementation of investment strategies and asset allocation. You will monitor market trends, forecast changes, and help execute strategies designed to achieve USAA’s investment objectives while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. What you'll do: Applies advanced knowledge to analyze performance and structure of USAA institutional portfolios and presents analysis across CIO strategist and governance teams. Assists with implementation of portfolio strategies and makes recommendations. Monitors financial markets and economic trends and assesses impact on assigned portfolios. Applies advanced knowledge to develop changes to portfolio strategies, presents strategies to CIO strategy. Provides investment recommendations to support treasury, asset /liability management and capital management functions. Performs complex work assignments and problem resolution. Serves as a resource to team members on escalated issues of a complex nature. Creates presentations for senior leaders and cross-functional partners, communicating complex concepts, and assuring full capture of tax benefits. Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures. What you have: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or quantitative field; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience. 2 or more years of financial investment experience required within a financial services organization. Proficient knowledge of the function/discipline and demonstrated application of knowledge, skills and abilities towards work products required. Proficient level of business acumen in the areas of business operations, industry practices and emerging trends required. Proficient knowledge and use of Microsoft Office applications. What sets you apart: US military experience gained through military service or gained as a military spouse / domestic partner. Investment acumen and/or investment experience. Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $93,770 - $179,240. USAA does not provide visa sponsorship for this role.
