Job Summary Job Description The Opportunity We're looking for a Salesforce Core Lead Designer to shape the end-to-end experience of our Salesforce Client Engagement Platform across Financial Services Cloud, Sales Cloud and Service Cloud. This is more than a UX role. You'll be the functional design authority for Core CRM, connecting client and user needs with Salesforce capabilities to create experiences that are simple, intuitive, scalable and Salesforce-native. Your design philosophy Design around the client. Simplify around the user. Standardise around Salesforce. Measure whether it works. Client-first: Connect experiences around the client relationship, not organisational silos. Human-centred: Design around roles, jobs-to-be-done and end-to-end journeys. Salesforce-native: Use standard and declarative capabilities before customisation. Reusable by design: Create common patterns that scale across teams and jurisdictions. Evidence-led: Improve experiences using adoption data, user feedback and operational insight. What you'll lead: Own the functional and experience design of Sales and Service journeys across Core Salesforce. Turn complex banking processes into simple, intuitive Salesforce experiences. Establish reusable patterns across Client 360, relationship management, opportunity management, client planning and service. Lead and coach Salesforce Feature Analysts, setting the standard for discovery, journey design, Features, User Stories and Acceptance Criteria. Challenge unnecessary complexity and customisation while maximising standard Salesforce capability. Partner with Architecture, Product Owners, Engineering and business teams to create one coherent experience. Use adoption and behavioural insights to continuously simplify and improve delivered capabilities. What you'll bring: We're looking for someone who brings together Salesforce expertise, human-centred design and strong functional leadership, including: 8 - 10 years relevant experience Strong practical knowledge of Financial Services Cloud, Sales Cloud and Service Cloud. Human-centred design, Jobs-to-be-Done and journey mapping. Salesforce Lightning Experience and Lightning Design System. Declarative design, Dynamic Forms and Flow. Prototyping and usability testing. Client 360 and relationship-management design. Reusable design patterns and functional governance. Data-driven adoption and experience optimisation. Leadership, coaching and cross-functional stakeholder engagement. Salesforce Platform User Experience Designer is a defining qualification, supported by strong real-world Salesforce platform experience. Why this role matters We're evolving Salesforce beyond traditional CRM into a connected Client Engagement Platform, bringing together client intelligence, relationships, opportunities, teams, products, marketing and service around the client. As Salesforce Core Lead Designer, you'll shape how that experience works and feels at scale. One Client. One Connected View. One CIB. Education Bachelor's Degree: Information Technology At Absa, our story is not a single narrative. It’s thousands of individual journeys unfolding across Africa and beyond. From colleagues serving customers in local communities to teams shaping financial solutions across borders, Absa is built on people who bring their lived experiences, ambitions and perspectives into the workplace every day. Whether you’re starting your career, a seasoned leader or somewhere in between, your contribution is seen, valued and connected to something bigger. Our presence across Africa – which spans personal and business banking, corporate and investment banking, wealth and investment management, and insurance – exists because of the people who show up in their roles with purpose. Across Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius, Mozambique, Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia, our colleagues are shaping what Absa becomes in each market. Beyond the continent, teams in global offices and a technology hub support and extend the stories that prove that African talent can lead, influence and innovate on the global stage. At Absa, your story matters because progress is driven by human experience, not hierarchy. When people are enabled to bring their whole selves to work, they don’t just build careers. They help shape the future of Africa’s financial services landscape.
