This role works closely with the Executive Vice President and teams across engineering, finance, procurement, and other functions to keep projects on track, address operational issues, and support informed business decisions.

The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and experienced in managing project and material workflows in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Leadership and Project Coordination

  • Lead the Operations Section, coordinating team priorities and work to support timely project execution and company goals.
  • Monitor project progress, identify operational issues, and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve them.

  • Track material requests, purchase orders, supplier commitments, lead times, shipments, and receipts; escalate delays or shortages that could affect project milestones.
  • Coordinate verification of deliveries against approved orders, quantities, and specifications; work with procurement and project teams to resolve shortages, damage, or discrepancies.
  • Maintain visibility into on-hand, in-transit, project-allocated, and issued materials, and reconcile inventory records with purchasing, receiving, and usage documentation.
  • Monitor material use and costs against project estimates and budgets; investigate variances and help reduce waste, excess purchases, damage, and loss.
  • Identify surplus, obsolete, slow-moving, or unused materials and coordinate reallocation, returns, or disposal in accordance with company policies and contract requirements.
  • Prepare material status updates covering inventory, committed costs, delivery progress, shortages, and other project risks.

Financial Oversight and Reporting

  • Review, approve, and monitor project payment schedules, cash flow plans, and financial progress.
  • Analyze project costs, material costs, and pricing assumptions to support quotations and competitive, profitable business decisions.
  • Prepare monthly operational and financial reports for the Executive Vice President and executive leadership. Reports should cover project progress, payment schedules, cash flow, material availability and costs, delivery status, inventory, cost variances, key risks, and recommended follow-up actions.
  • Escalate significant material shortages, supplier delays, budget variances, or other issues that could affect project schedules or financial performance.

Process Improvement, Compliance, and Team Support

  • Identify workflow gaps and coordinate improvements with engineering, finance, procurement, and other teams.
  • Ensure operational and material management activities align with internal policies, contract requirements, and client expectations.
  • Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to strengthen team capabilities.
  • Support the Executive Vice President and senior management with analyses, presentations, and cross-functional initiatives.

Required Qualifications
