- Perform structural design, analysis, and engineering calculations for a variety of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, contributing to the delivery of safe, reliable, and sustainable facilities.
- Develop and support the preparation of construction drawings, technical specifications, and other project deliverables from concept through final design.
- Conduct structural assessments and field investigations, and assist in preparing engineering reports, technical memoranda, and construction cost estimates.
- Apply sound engineering principles, industry standards, and best practices to solve technical challenges and deliver high-quality design solutions.
- Independently manage smaller engineering assignments with defined objectives while collaborating with senior engineers on complex, multidisciplinary projects.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure designs are technically sound, constructible, and aligned with project goals, budgets, and schedules.
- Provide guidance and technical direction to CAD designers, technicians, and support staff to ensure the timely delivery of accurate project documentation.
- Continuously expand technical knowledge by staying current on emerging technologies, design standards, and industry best practices.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with Structural emphasis
- EIT certification or ability to obtain
- Microsoft Office, Mathcad, TEDDS or similar analytical software experience
- SAP2000, STAAD or similar Finite Element software analysis experience
- AutoCAD, Revit or similar detailing and drawing production experience
- Ability to work in a team environment with the work involving studies, detailed design and engineering services during construction for a wide variety of projects
- Possess analytical and organizational skills to support multiple projects at a time
- Ability to learn, listen, adapt, and take ownership of work
- Attention to detail, self-directed learning, and meeting deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate work with other disciplines and production staff
- Willingness to try new things and be forward thinking, with a creative and innovative approach to engineering
