The Role As part of a large-scale platform modernization journey, we are strengthening our AI and Machine Learning capabilities to deliver intelligent, secure, and scalable digital solutions on Microsoft Azure. In this pivotal role, you will focus on embedding enterprise-grade AI capabilities within the platform engineering landscape—enabling automation, improving data security, and accelerating business outcomes through responsible AI adoption. We are seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to design, build, and operationalize a central AI Platform. You will spearhead supporting capabilities, including AI SDK development, data masking, PII detection, and document intelligence, while seamlessly integrating Azure AI services with modern DevOps practices to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with enterprise governance standards. What You Will Do Design and assess serverless compute architectures for complex AI workloads. Implement and manage scalable Azure Databricks Serverless environments tailored to enterprise data needs. Develop, automate, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for robust AI and Databricks workloads. Ensure reliability, observability, monitoring, and optimization of Databricks and serverless services. Act as an independent expert collaborating closely with Data Science, Cloud Engineering, and DevOps teams. Provide continuous consultancy, technical alignment, and best practices for operationalizing AI models efficiently. Required Skills and Experience Proven experience designing and deploying AI/ML solutions on Azure, including deep knowledge of Azure Databricks Serverless architectures. Hands-on proficiency with serverless technologies such as Azure Functions, Event Grid, and Logic Apps. Strong programming skills in Python, PySpark, and SQL for data engineering and model integration. Expertise in CI/CD, MLOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) utilizing Azure DevOps and Terraform. Solid understanding of cloud cost management, scaling strategies, observability, monitoring, and alerting for cloud environments. Knowledge of enterprise security, data protection, and compliance requirements for AI workloads. Proven experience integrating large language models (LLMs), such as Mistral AI, into corporate or fintech environments. Preferred Skills and Experience Advanced Microsoft certifications, such as Azure AI Engineer Associate or Azure Data Engineer Associate. Practical experience developing AI SDKs and utilizing Document Intelligence or similar AI-driven data extraction tools. Background operating within fintech or similarly highly regulated, complex enterprise environments. Strong understanding of responsible AI adoption practices at an enterprise scale.
