Job Overview: Job Summary Primoris Heavy Civil is seeking experienced CDL Drivers to safely transport materials, equipment, and personnel to and from construction sites in and around Waco, TX. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and timely execution of our heavy civil construction projects. Job Responsibilities * Operate various types of commercial motor vehicles, including but not limited to dump trucks, flatbeds, and lowboys, in compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies. * Safely load and unload materials and equipment, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution. * Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, reporting any defects or issues promptly. * Maintain accurate daily logbooks, vehicle inspection reports, and other required documentation. * Adhere to all traffic laws, road signs, and company safety procedures. * Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and other team members. * Assist with other general labor tasks on construction sites as needed, when not actively driving. * Maintain cleanliness and good operating condition of assigned vehicles and equipment. Job Qualifications * Valid Class A with appropriate endorsements (e.g., air brakes, tanker, hazmat) if required for specific roles. * Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience, preferably in a heavy civil or construction environment. * Clean driving record with no major violations. * Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen. * Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS) rules. * Proficient in performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections. * Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) and perform physical labor in various weather conditions. * Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all company and regulatory safety standards. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Heavy Civil is comprised of six operating units that include North Louisiana Operations, South Louisiana Operations, Texas Operations, HMA Paving Operations, Concrete Paving Operations, and the Infrastructure Rehabilitation Unit.
