We are seeking a dependable and experienced Medical Assistant / EKG Technician to join our busy cardiology practice. This is a cross-trained position combining clinical/EKG responsibilities with front-desk support.
Qualifications
- 1–3+ years of medical office/clinical experience
- Experience performing 12-lead EKGs
- AthenaOne experience strongly preferred
- CMA/RMA/CCMA and BLS preferred
- Strong computer, communication, and patient-service skills
- Dependable, punctual, organized, and team-oriented
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced physician practice
- Willing to rotate between clinical and reception duties
Responsibilities
- Room patients, obtain vitals, and perform EKGs
- Review and update patient information and documentation
- Maintain exam rooms and support efficient patient flow
- Check patients in and out
- Customer service; friendly
- Collect copays and verify referrals/documentation
- Schedule and reschedule appointments
- Assist with phones and other front-office responsibilities
- Work closely with physicians and clinical staff
Schedule
Monday–Friday, between
7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., based on physician schedules.
