  • Conduct jobsite visits to monitor progress, document field conditions, and coordinate solutions with superintendents and project teams.
  • Support inspections, punch-list completion, warranty items, client turnover, and final project closeout.
  • Identify potential schedule delays, cost overruns, procurement challenges, and scope changes before they affect project delivery.
  • Assist with subcontractor coordination, project reporting, and communication between field and office teams.
  • Gradually assume greater responsibility for scheduling, cost management, subcontractor coordination, and overall project execution.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial construction, project engineering, project coordination, or project management.
  • Required: Previous employment with a commercial general contractor.
  • Experience with commercial building projects, renovations, or tenant improvements.
  • Working knowledge of construction documents, specifications, RFIs, submittals, contracts, schedules, and change orders.
  • Understanding of construction sequencing, procurement, subcontractor management, and project controls.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with field teams, design professionals, trade partners, vendors, and clients.
  • Experience monitoring project costs, purchasing commitments, schedules, and change-order activity.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction or project management software.
  • Strong communication, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven construction environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred; relevant practical experience may substitute.

Important Qualification: Commercial construction experience is essential. Candidates whose experience is limited to residential construction will not qualify.
