SENIOR LEVELPRODUCT
Senior Product Manager Are you passionate about building products that help higher education institutions make better decisions and support faculty success? Do you enjoy turning customer insight, data, and emerging technologies into meaningful product outcomes that deliver measurable value? About our Team With innovative products designed to support the entire faculty lifecycle, Interfolio from Elsevier enables academic leaders to effectively advance higher education institutions, their faculty, and their staff. We have been trusted by more than 500 colleges and universities since 1999. About the Role As a Senior Product Manager I, you will own a product or a substantial area within Interfolio’s Faculty Information System. You will develop product strategy, lead discovery, and guide delivery from concept through launch, creating value for customers and supporting business outcomes. Working in a dynamic environment, you will collaborate across functions, use evidence to inform decisions, and help teams deliver meaningful improvements through iterative product development. Responsibilities Develop and communicate a product vision and roadmap aligned with customer needs and business strategy. Prioritise opportunities using customer value, commercial potential, delivery effort, and technical constraints. Build evidence-backed business cases and contribute to investment, pricing, and packaging decisions where relevant. Understand how your product area connects to the wider institutional ecosystem and workflows. Identify opportunities where AI could improve customer workflows and validate business value. Build direct relationships with faculty, researchers, and institutional users to understand their goals, workflows, and challenges. Lead discovery activities with design, research, and engineering partners, testing assumptions before investing in solutions. Coordinate go-to-market planning and launch activities with marketing, sales, customer success, support, and other stakeholders. Requirements Substantial product management experience with ownership of a product or significant area within a complex product. Track record of taking products or capabilities from discovery through launch and ongoing improvement. Strong customer discovery skills and experience translating insight into product strategy and delivery decisions. Practical experience with SDD or an equivalent agentic product development approach. Hands-on experience using generative AI and AI assistants in product work, with examples of improved quality, speed, or learning. Sound judgement about when to use AI, how to evaluate outputs, and when human review is essential. Experience working closely with engineering and design teams. Technical fluency to discuss SaaS products, APIs, integrations, data, and architectural trade-offs with technical partners.
