We are currently recruiting for a full-time Security Officer at our Cecil Campus location. The hours the successful candidate will work either straight days or straight overnights including weekends/holidays as per a two week rotating schedule. The selected Officer will be responsible for patrolling our grounds in order to protect and maintain a safe and secure environment for our staff, patients and others that visit. The Officer will also conduct investigations related to incidents that occur on our property and respond to alarms, security incidents and enforce parking regulations. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: HS Diploma or GED equivalent. (Required) Maryland Department of State Police, Licensing Division, Security Guard Certification required upon hire, or obtained within 90 days of hire. (Required) Associate degree or higher in Criminal Justice or related field (Preferred). Two years of experience in campus/hospital security, law enforcement, or another related field (Preferred). SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Acceptable drivers record in good standing. Maryland Department of State Police, Licensing Division, Security Guard Certification required upon hire, or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
