Program Manager, Product Development.

PRODUCT$85K–125K/YR
Passionate about precision medicine and advancing the healthcare industry? Recent advancements in underlying technology have finally made it possible for AI to impact clinical care in a meaningful way. Tempus' proprietary platform connects an entire ecosystem of real-world evidence to deliver real-time, actionable insights to physicians, providing critical information about the right treatments for the right patients, at the right time. Passionate about making a difference in the world of cancer genomics? With the advent of genomic sequencing, we can finally decode and process our genetic makeup. We now have more data than ever before but providers don't have the infrastructure or expertise to make sense of this data. We're on a mission to connect an entire ecosystem to redefine how genomic data is used in clinical settings. We are looking for a Program Manager to lead the development and launch of new assays and initiatives within the Product Development Organization. What You’ll Do: ● Responsible for the collaborative development and maintenance of detailed project plans utilizing project management software and other approved tools that are consistent with the Tempus Product Development Process throughout the project lifecycle ● Partner with the Core Team Lead to develop agendas and plan structured, collaborative, and productive project meetings to collect and document scope, requirements, risks, and timelines with Core Team. ● Collaborate with Sponsor and Core Team Lead to identify project resource requirements. ● Collaborate with each member of the Core Team to ensure deliverables are being produced in accordance with the project timeline. ● Identify tradeoffs between budget, resources, and schedule and escalate them to the Core Team Lead to drive to a decision when necessary ● Develop project status reports and dashboards to communicate key project updates, risks, issues, and decisions to appropriate stakeholders ● Document and report on requirements, risks, risk mitigation plans, issues, decisions, and lessons learned ● Collaborate with the project Core Team Lead and other members of the Core Team to perform detailed impact analysis of any change requests that impact scope, resources and/or timelines ● Reviews and confirms completion of project outputs, deliverables and documentation ● Incorporate lessons learned and other project feedback into future project planning and execution Qualifications: ● 4 year college degree, preferably in a scientific, clinical, technical or business discipline ● Minimum 3 years project management experience, with an understanding of formal project management methodologies ● Experience working in the Biotechnology, Clinical Laboratory, or Medical Device industry ● Project management certification preferred (PMP) ● Proficient in project management software, such as but not limited to: Smartsheets, MS Project, Coda, JIRA ● Familiarity with CLIA, CAP, GMP, NYSDOH and FDA regulations and requirements ● Exceptional leadership, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills; able to communicate across functions and at all levels of the organization ● High attention to detail and ability to complete projects on time with a high degree of accuracy and attention to quality ● Ability to build and maintain effective relationships, developing a high level of trust within a diverse, highly results driven organization ● Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, in a fast-paced environment, with an unwavering dedication to team and project success ● Proven ability to learn new skills quickly, adapt to new processes and changes while maintaining a positive attitude Posting Range: $85,000-$125,000 The expected salary range may vary for other locations. Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience. Tempus offers a full range of benefits, which may include incentive compensation, restricted stock units, medical and other benefits depending on the position. We are an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. Tempus was founded in August of 2015 by Eric Lefkofsky, after his wife was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Shortly after he founded the company in an effort to bring the power of technology and artificial intelligence to cancer care, he convinced Ryan Fukushima to join as the company’s first employee. Ryan and Eric began assembling a world class team, focused on building the first version of a platform capable of ingesting real time healthcare data in an effort to personalize diagnostics. We built the platform for oncology and have expanded it to neuropsychiatry, cardiology, infectious disease (through COVID), and radiology. Despite our rapid growth, our mission remains the same—to help make sure patients are on the right drug at the right time, so they can live longer and healthier lives. We’re looking for people who can change the world. Who question the status quo and don’t shy away from tough problems. For the builders who are never done building and the learners who are never done learning. We’re looking for passionate people with undying curiosity. Those who want to attack one of the most challenging problems mankind has ever faced. Head on.
