  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders throughout preconstruction.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities and alternative construction methods to improve project costs and efficiency.
  • Prepare bid documentation, cost breakdowns, proposals, and supporting estimating materials.
  • Participate in preconstruction meetings, site visits, and project planning discussions.
  • Assist with subcontractor selection, scope reviews, and procurement activities.
  • Support project teams with budget reviews, change order estimates, and cost evaluations as needed.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and construction estimating software.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple estimating assignments and meet demanding deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Existing relationships with subcontractors and suppliers in the Washington, DC market are a plus.

Benefits
